There are many eatery's in Goulburn, and most are pretty decent, but they don't compare to how child friendly the Goulburn Soldiers Club is.

Yes the food is good and the serves are generous, they do however need a lunch special like every other club & pub in town.

The child friendly aspect is that the club has a very decent sized child's play zone including activities, slides, climbing and will keep the kids entertained so you can enjoy your time in peace.

All up the food is good, there are better menus at other clubs, and the atmosphere is excellent. A great place to eat and enjoy your time.

Looking for a lunch stop in Goulburn my dad suggested trying the Soldiers club. A lovely refurbished spot really well looked after. Food was comfy club grub that the whole family enjoyed. An indoor playground was perfect. Who doesn't love cold beer on tap on a Sunday.

I stay in Yass for work, when away from home the soldiers club has provided me with comfortable company. I became a member for $6, and enjoyed $5 schooners during happy hour. My meals were sensational, great quality of food and really well priced.
I will always return. Highly recommend the mixed grill for any bloke that's in for a good feed and good luck getting thru it. Look at the size of it! $32 great value. Thanks.

Enjoyed lunch at the Soldiers Club. It was a hot day in Goulburn so we decided to go somewhere child friendly and cool. My 2yr old grandson had a great time playing in the soft play area here. Thankfully they have an area for little ones separate from the area for older kids. Despite the sign clearly stating age limits I had to ask some older kids to leave as they were playing in the toddler area and knocked a little boy over. Their parents should have been supervising them better.
Lunch was OK. The kids fish and chips serve was great. I had a roast vege salad which was OK but a bit heavy. My daughter had fish tacos, which were only OK. So the food was average but the venue was enjoyable. There is also a Cafe section which looked very nice.

This is a really well presented club with friendly and welcoming staff. We grabbed dinner at the bistro which offers a good range of meals. Food was all fresh and nicely done. Steak and salmon cooked perfectly, salad and veggies also tasty. My tip would be to get a membership which we did as ends up easily paying itself back if you're buying a few meals and / or drinks.

Really nice club and enjoyed my dinner here. The staff were friendly. The pizza was so nice and filling. Good value for a visitor.

I've been to the Goulburn Soldiers Club many times and eaten at their bistro Diggers by the Park. The meals are very rarely enjoyable.
Attached is a photograph of a "medium" rump steak, the blood was dripping from the steak as you can see my plate was full of blood.
The meal got wasted as I can't eat rare steak. This is a common occurrence at Diggers by the Park.

A must visit place in Goulburn. The food, the ambiance, the kids play zone, the portion, the range of choices were simply over the moon. This was one of the best dine in restaurants we have ever been to where kids were more busy than us enjoying their time and food at the same time.

Excellent place for the kids with a built in play ground inside the bistro area. Kids have a ball whilst adults can sit nearby and enjoy a meal and drink. Service is good, friendly staff. Food not bad either. Visit often from Oberon and never disappoints.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Great selection on menu. Quick service. Clean eating area and typical club atmosphere. Not sure what look or vibe they are after with the diverse decor!

Food is just OK: it's nice enough but nothing special and slightly on the expensive side for what it is. Service is very good though. The main drawcard here is a particularly nice kids' play area.

We have been going to the Soldiers Club main restaurant recently at lunchtime to catch up with family & friends. I have had the delicious soup each time. The price is reasonable & it's very filling.
The only problem is that other choices of meals are a little expensive especially for those on a pension. A big thankyou to the great staff. They are friendly & helpful. A big thankyou to Brock. He always has a smile on his face & is such a pleasant young man. Thanks again for your service.

A very good renovation of the bistro. Food has been a great improvement and of great quality. Still need to see more people in the bar areas. But best meals we've had in years.

Lovely club, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely go again.

A nice place that had ample room for my large party with notice. Fairly priced well portioned meals. Over all a good place to dine.

Nice bistro, overlooking the park. Standard club food but done pretty well. Fancy taps that fill your drink from the bottom are, alas, no more. Shame. Food was very good when judged against the World Order of Club Food Standards. Tip top, keep it up!

Friendly staff and great service

I visited today to complete an RSA course. Terrific club with great facilities and conference rooms.

Great meal, a little bit expensive.
