5 stars all round first time there enjoyed the night 🌙 out and my kids lived the play area

We easily booked online. Place was very busy but we were able to get to our table. We booked on a Thursday night as the website said beef and chicken burgers on special. Staff said no chicken burgers available which was disappointing. Beef burger though was delicious. Would recommend just the burger to anyone

Booked for a party of 30- mix of adults and kids.
Service was fast. Food was delicious. Staff were very accommodating. 10/10 experience.
I have a happiness free sister and she mentioned that she didn't have many options as a gluten, dairy free vegetarian.

Will absolutely consider for future functions.

Place was really busy on a Friday night, we made a reservation as there were abt 20 of us for dinner. It was great that we each went to order, and paid for our meals separately.
The food were served reasonably quickly. Pretty nice pub food, I had the pork belly, and hubby had the pasta carbonara, though the pork belly was nice, the pasta was the pick of the night for me.
Staff were friendly, there is a huge play area for kids.

This is absolutely a 5 star hotel restaurant for families. We were visiting Ballarat two days and we had two dinners here. Kids were super excited with the food and the play space. They had free drinks and ice cream from their kids menu. This is the highlight of our trip.

Is this the best pub in the world? Far from it. Does it have the greatest food? No. What it does have is friendly and helpful staff, good food for a decent price (especially if eating at the sports bar) and a massive screen that was streaming the cricket. Excellent feed and a few drinks. Had an excellent evening.

Really amazing atmosphere we went in around 7pm got seated quietly meals came out hot promptly and drinks also the staff were very friendly and the play area. Has a seating area to watch the kids

Waited 30mins for food, got told that restaurant was closing in 5 mins if we could finish up... yet hadn't even been served our food... waited another 15mins after being told our food had been thrown out?? To get served horrible potatoe salad and mediocre food, and kids grilled chicken was like plastic.
Good points.... we did receive a $25 voucher, to share between three unrelated people.. and dessert was packed away by the time we had eaten.

We had our boys first holy communion reception done at the hotel . I am 100% satisfied and grateful with their service and above and beyond what I had expected . They let me decorate the areas and make our day special
The staff have been amazing and the food was delicious too. I was impressed by the customer service and the way how they handled our requests to facilitate our function was appreciative . Deb the manager was amazing and very understandable. Erick was also helpful. All the team members are very pleasant , approachable and always had beautiful welcoming smile on their face . This wasn't the first time we had the functions snd every time the service gets better and am extremely happy with their service delivery. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Deb and get team members for helping us out to create a wonderful and memorable evening fir our family

Been fixed up since last time I was here. They got a good selection of beers. The sports lounge is good. Pokies area is massive. Good mix of old and new machines.

I didn't eat here. So I rated the food high. Didn't wanna give em a bad review for food I didn't eat.

We celebrated Fathers day here for my Father and as always the service and food was excellent. Quality and affordable meals freshly cooked and arrived to table within 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful, including swapping chairs for dad to one more comfortable for him. Highly recommend!

Food is great for a family outing.
Kids love the playground.
I love coming here, however we called to book a table in advance for 13 kids ages 0-5 and asked if we could sit close to the playground for convenience, and we were placed behind a wall right next to the kitchen.
When I asked nicely if there was any way we could relocate the staff really tried to figure it out but couldn't. That was fine but the staff were very rude to us after we asked this question which was disheartening.
The staff also got very annoyed by the children running around while they were bringing food and drinks out which we couldn't avoid.
My opinion of the restaurant is that it's great I just hope to be treated nicer next time as a paying customer who was just seeking some help.

We had a dinner booking for 20 people.
The staff were great, the food was delicious (& quick). The kids loved the playground. The kids free icecream was a hit as was the seniors free tea for Nana.

We saw the Magician Ben tonight and he was hilarious and the tricks were amazing, was great to have some entertainment while we celebrated my sons 5th birthday dinner. He went to each table! Loved the magic :) thanks for a great night!!!! Would highly recommend getting there to have a nice meal and be amused and entertained by Ben!!!!

Food is pretty good. Huge indoor playground for the kids to play. Food came out very quickly. It took us a while to get seated down but other than that, it was a pleasant experience all around.

We were drawn to the venue by the playground for the kids. If I was to rate the place on the playground, 5 stars. That's not why we went there though, we went to eat. The food was very hit and miss. Caesar Salad and SandP Calamari were good. Chicken Parma was poor, along with the margarita pizza. Food delivery was very quick. Staff were very nice but hard to find to give our feedback to. We should have gone to an outdoor playground and had fish and chips...

I reccomend Buying the Kitchen A around of drinks after dinning in! They do an amazing job!

ATMOSPHERE is a 2 only due to how much noise carries and doesn't seem yo go anywhere, how when the bistro is busy there is an Aurora of anxiety everywhere. Which I feel comes down to layout/ capacity.

Food - now this beetroot salad has stolen my tastebuds since OCTOBER! I like to add chicken and Prawns or sometimes one or the other. The flavour combinations with Texture of cannided wall nuts, citrus dressing over roasted beetroot and Fettuccine- AMAZING - TOO DIE FOR!

Used to be a fantastic place but the food has gone down hill big time. It appears the food is being half cooked and then recooked when ordered leaving everything chewy and full of oil. Playground and staff are good just not the food recently.

This is a great venue for families. The playground is exceptional. We met here twice with extended family because it's such a nice restaurant that caters for everyone.
The meal sizes are generous and the food is delicious. The kids food is also on point.

This was definitely the worst food I have ever tried to eat.The steak was over cooked and over seasoned,even after it was sent back the replacement came back over cooked and dry.the salad consisted of lettuce carrot and onion with a tasteless oil on it that I assume was meant to be a dressing. The chips were cold and coated in chicken salt. Top that off with an atmosphere much like Mac Donald's and you have what can only be described as a shocking dining experience!

A lovely, well laid out bistro. The kids play space was excellent. The food was delicious. What blew our minds was that you can order and pay on your phone at your table by scanning the QR, and food was on our table within 15 minutes!! 😱 This is how you run a restaurant.. good job guys. ??'?

Not a bad feed. Need to book if you want to sit in the bistro though as they book out fairly quick. We were unable to sit in bistro as we hadn't booked so just had our meal in the bar. Probably not to everyone's liking but I was just happy to get a feed so didn't really mind where I sat. Staff are pretty good and venue has a nice atmosphere. Pokies sucked a bit but I have won good money there in the past. Hope that helps a bit. Have a good day. 😊

We went at a busy time but jeez it was slow service.

Waited a few minutes to actually get in and then the person at the front complained that people just decide where to sit and it makes his job really difficult. Yeah ok - but if you show people to their table they won't get lost on where to go

We had two families at the table, we ordered seperately through the app and everything (including drinks and kids meals) came out one by one.

I had to cancel my main as it hadn't arrived in close to an hour and the kids were ready to go.

I received a refund for that after I was told I should know it was a long wait and weren't you told. No, I paid on the app. I was also told they were very busy which yep gotcha, but management needs to address this issue (which has been raised many times in other reviews)

Oh and to top it off the food and drinks were awful. Margarita came with no garnish and no ice and while my friend tried to enjoy that $15 disaster I waited 20 more minutes for a glass of Shiraz.

Not recommended.

Clearly the staff here don't have enough support from management - if they did they would be happier, more helpful and not as stressed.

The venue is excellent, spacious with plenty of seating and an amazing kids play area. In saying that, I cannot understand why there is such a large dining and bar area if staff are unable to cater for such a large volume of people. Our food took 90 mins to arrive (after the rest of our table had eaten), both dishes were average at best, with one missing sauce and an incorrect side.

As mentioned, it appeared to be at capacity or close to it, so your mileage may vary. Consider visiting when the bistro is quieter.

Our kids always enjoy playground. Food is consistently good and staff are very helpful. Great place for family birthday dinners. Special shout out to Kylie.

28.11.19 we were back again tonight. The food really is great. All the front of house staff are young, but they are so polite and helpful, I'm extremely impressed. Well done.

This place has really gone down hill ,we not greeted at the door at all most of the staff were just standing behind the bar. menu is a lot smaller , which I get why that's been done , today we were served raw fish and cold veg they did offer a meal replacement, but it was declined after the last few times coming to this establishment can honestly say we won't be back

Had a beautiful dish of pumpkin gnocchi. Kids meals came quickly. Staff were lovely.

We had a table of 22. One of the female staff there was amazing the kids loved her, very friendly and able to accommodate they food needs. The service was great the food came out to the table extremely fast. And the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Price for meals was the standard price. The Chicken Caesar salad was perfect! We definitely will be back.

Great food at great prices. Great for families. We went twice, as there is not much else around Ballarat for the hours when we want to eat. Otherwise, highly recommend this place. The place is very clean, well maintained. The food comes out as you like it, generous servings and fresh. Staff are friendly and obliging. Plenty of parking available. Large play area for kids. We enjoyed it twice when came here, left with very full bellies!! 😀 Thanks to staff for an enjoyable evening. (Shame we can not come more regularly as we don't live in area). Hats off to chef!??'?‍🍳

Loved this place. When driving past the Kids World sign out front drew us in. The play area was beyond great, food was very good (we got parmi; pizza and kids meals) but most pleasantly surprising was the most excellent customer service weve received in a long time. Lani, I think it was, was beyond helpful with my kids. They even went out of their way to say goodbye when we left. Thanks so much. Made our day.
