This was a family go to for many years, boasting good service, excellent value for money and a genuinely warm and respectful environment that honoured the legacy of our soldiers. That said, sadly... times have changed since those days. The service is still quite good, but the meals are overpriced and I really can't share anything positive about the quality either. Either over- or under-cooked, too oily or too dry, lack of seasoning and lack-lustred presentation. Honestly, if they still boasted affordable prices this might be overlooked. But that's definitely not the case. The venue used to have a "no collar, no entry" and "neat respectful casual dress" code. Not any more. Patrons wearing torn jeans, t-shirts, even torn denim miniskirts were on show (for 60+ patrons to view, whether they want to or not). The place was incredibly noisy to the point that people couldn't hear each other while sitting on the other side of the table. These are very different times... sighs. If you're a drinker, a gambler, happy to part with at least $40 for a very average meal, in a very loud open restaurant space accompanied by poorly dressed patrons contrary to the true values and tenants of the RSL... then knock yourself out.

Lovely person on the desk but food was big portion but really low quality and flavour for the price. It was packed so plenty of people must like it, but we feel far better places around Belmont. At least the salad was fresh!

Great atmosphere, free car parking, friendly customer service and delicious Sunday Lamb Roast lunch. Tender meat, freshly cooked veg but under seasoned. Great portions, great price, would recommend 🤩

Went to RSL for birthday dinner. 5 meals ordered only 4 turn up to table. Staff said will quickly fix up and supply meal but waited and waited . Other meals finished still no meal. Not a good birthday celebration. Meal cancelled and refund given.

Great value for money. Generous servings and popular family gathering place. Couple of people also bought memberships on the day. Enjoyed our family meal here. Usual pub fare in a no frills setting with modest decor. Contemporary establishment with accessible venue seating. Will recommend to go with family / grandies

Very crowded today since it was Father's Day. We went in without a booking, but they were kind enough to allocate us outdoor seating. The kitchen was obviously too busy and we had to wait almost 45 minutes to get our lunch. Staff was friendly and nice.

Steak sandwich was tough and very disappointing, our orders were incorrect as the girl taking our orders did not understand . Whilst eating dinner a waitress decided to place the lunch menu for the next day on the table, then she asked " are you done" to some of our guests then removed the empty plates. What is going on with the hospitality industry, why is their no care factor or professionalism anymore? Some of our guests were ready to hand in their memberships. On a good note the risotto and salmon was good.

Well presented on the plate, tasty and well seasoned and easy to chew and get through😋😋 I had onion rings to share with my housemate then I had mini seafood selction for mains and sticky date pudding for desserts🥧😋 My housemate had roast beef with veggies for mains and a chocolate pudding for sweets🥧😃 Friendly bar and wait staff and I even won a meat tray to take home..???-???-🥩🥩 Will be back again..

Visiting from.Warrnambool, Really nice place. Had a lovely meal for two.. just a very quick getaway for us old parents of teens! Battered fish and chips will salad for me, beef schnitzel with gravy and veg for hubby with a garlic loaf to start. All very nice to eat and lovely staff. Couple of drinks and some time at the pokies and then we walked back to our rices were r accommodation which was just 5 mins on foot. Recommended for a casual or even slightly more meal. Prices were very appropriate and large serving sizes. Can't go wrong at an RSL. xx

Good place for a meal. The dishes we chose were a 7 out of ten, a little to greasy. But were jealous of what we saw others eating. Will change my order next visit.

Attended RSL for Christmas dinner. Numerous patrons as premises booked out. We enjoyed a very nice 4 course meal which was well cooked and presented by the friendly/helpful staff who were always obliging even though virtually run off their feet. Excellent meal & service.

First time back since the renovations, looks very good, meals were all fantastic, well worth becoming a member

Food was quick but disappointed that chicken wings had a spicy sauce which spoiled the meal. Liked the salad. Chili free options should be offered.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Good value meals and being a member has a lot of benefits. Recently renovated.

Disappointed that the kitchen didn't do the little things like season the chips or put a dressing on the salad. It's the simple things that make a big difference.

Absolutely fantastic. Awesome atmosphere, and even better food. Geelong RSL is a perfect place for getting together, or just having a beautiful meal.

I've been going to the RSL for a few years now & the meals have been awesome! But for the last 6 months or so the seafood meals have been really bad! I've ordered the fish & chips (large meal) & got the 2 smallest pieces of fish I've ever seen! Tonight I ordered the mini seafood selection & the fish looked like it was from a packet that you can get at Aldi!!! Very disappointed & I won't be ordering a seafood meal there again.

Extensive menu in bistro with some gluten free options available. The club is currently undergoing extensive renovations ( mid 2022) which should ultimately add to the overall amenity.
A very vibrant bowls club operates here, as well as being a base for welfare services for ex-services personnel and families.
Social membership is also available for a nominal annual fee of $10 which gives you ongoing discounts on meals and drinks. Good value with RSL membership which is also applicable throughout Victorian clubs.

Attended the Geelong RSL for a set menu meal with the options of porterhouse steak or chicken with veggies. The steak was overdone rump and the chicken arrived with salad. The friendly staff and good parking made the night more enjoyable.

Never go here again ,staff where rude. I ordered 1 main meal and 2 kids meals cause I wasnt that hungry, I had to point to my table to show there was kids but there was no age restrictions on menu, and I was refused one of the free drinks cause I wanted it they took the drink voucher off me. Does it really matter who drinks and eats.

Loads of parking fairly cheap meals and good atmosphere. There is both outdoor and indoor entertainment for kids as well. Great place for a low key family meal any day of the week or a good place to catch up with mates for a beer.

Lunch menu is reasonably priced with good variety. Great venue for larger gatherings been a couple of times with larger groups always good service

It's literally just O.K. Friendly service and well poured drinks. Food.. hit and miss. Don't order the steak. Both the medium Porterhouse and scotch we ordered were obviously cooked on the hot plate, well over, tough as nails and full of fat. We left them. Parma and Roast were good.

We had an enjoyable time with a 3 year old grandson having a great time playing in the play area. Food was fairly good and a good time was had by all 4 adults as well.

I was very underwhelmed by this venue.

It felt more like I was in a function room from the old days.

Very dated especially the Carpet.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Food was very Average.

Dessert was nice.
