Food was very good, ordered the steak and veg and it was cooked excellent. They had a number of beers on tap as well. Would recommend.

Reasonable food service a little slow when busy
Beef and bacon pie special turned out to be a pepper pie.
No complaints about size I struggled to finish it all but what I left was mostly green pepper corns
Ate all the slow cooked chunky beef and pastry and found it delicious.

A good dinner in Newcastle. The venue was a little small so definitely book in advance so you won't be disappointed. The food service was a little slow but the food was delicious. The lamb rump was excellent with great sauce and sides.
The parmi was as expected so was happy with that. The hot air con was very strong though which was a little uncomfortable.

This is a great pub good food all the staff are friendly total value for money Shane behind the bar is a legend anyone who complains about the food here in my opinion is trying to get a free meal. Do yourself a favour and go to this great pub?

Nice food loved the garlic prawn sauce..very popular lunch venue...but can of coke $5 across the bar seriously lol

Food was great, lunch with mum and dad. Unfortunately a bad tempered waitress put us off. Mum and dad were sharing a meal and the chips didn't come out at the same time, dad politely asked were they forgotten at which point the waitress rolled her eyes, shifted a chair behind us and threw it into its spot. Being annoyed I spoke to the manager who dismissed the bad behavior saying he'd watched it (I wonder why?) and it hadn't happened. A nice meal ruined by poor behavior .

Terrible meal Sunday evening. There was however a nice entree of oysters thank goodness as there was no cooking involved. The creamy sizzling garlic prawn meal was not sizzling and someone must have forgotten to add the garlic. The chicken pesto pasta must have been cooked sometime today well before I ordered it - it was soggy and inedible, as for the chicken well what chicken there was, was burnt and tasted like it. Service staff offered an " oh sorry" and that was it. Won't be going back - I think they can only cook frozen chips and like from what I saw being brought out. Don't waste your money go elsewhere.

The stsff were fantastic, polite and friendly but the wait time for meals was well over am hour. The food quantity was absolutely pathetic and NOT worth it's money, on the other hand, the food quality was fair, apart from the chips which were very oily. In summary, I would NOT recommend this business and will certainly NOT return, McDonald's would be a better option.

First time there... Food only good.. Not great, but we did arrive after what seemed like a buaload of pensioners.. Will come back

Absolutely disgusting, the chicken schnitzel was not cooked properly almost raw in the middle, took it back and was asked if I wanted it reheated !! Not one staff member approached me after returning the meal to them extremely poor customer service. My husband and myself will never return by the look of it it's not that busy anymore, you would think that they would want to keep all the customers that they can. I work in hospitality so I know the importance of customer service!!!!! They need to remember word and mouth

A nice local. Good beer garden. Good sports bar. Would benefit from a renovation to bring up to standard of other local pubs, and bands in the beer garden would also make this a much for frequented pub. The food is really nice. A larger range of beers on tap would be good but all in all a nice pub to go

I ordered the Pork Baked Dinner ... no complaints about the quantity or tenderness of the pork, but in no way was it a baked dinner.
If I wanted pork and par cooked veg which was then deep fried I would have ordered that.
I ordered a baked dinner and this was nothing like one.

Had a wonderful lunch here. The food and service was terrific. The bar tender in particular was on point with our cocktails! Yummy!

I ordered lunch special $15 rump ( medium rare)with salad and chips, my friend ordered $24 lemon pepper snapper with salad and chips. Saw the staff had entered medium rare for my steak but I got a WELLDONE. My friend's snapper overcooked texture rubbery. Very disappointed, don't even remember when is the last time got a overcook steak.

Have attended several times now. Pleasant atmosphere. Staff are always great. Menu is typical bistro. Food usually very good. Don't normally have to wait long for food. Easy parking. Sometimes can be quite noisy.

Service was good and meals came out quickly. All staff smiled at you and treated you like a regular. Crumbed cutlets the way mum used to make the them.

Good food, good range of beer. TV's in dining area so we were able to watch the footy whilst eating.

Best lunch, salt&pepper calamari cooked to perfection. And creamy garlic prawns in own little pan to hold the sauce which mopped up with bread. Highly recommened the food and the staff friendly helpful and attentive. Will be back.

Had lunch with some family. My Spanish lamb shank ($22 special) was very nice, tomato sauce a bit strong but very nice distributed with the fall-off-the-bone meat and creamy mash. Good veggies. Generous portions.
Others with me enjoyed their meals (all daily specials) but apparently a bit lack lustre. Heard 200g rump special was good.
Nice hotel. Busy enough at the time (Tue. Lunch).
Staff and service were excellent.
