Had the crumbed Lamb cutlets with chips & salad for lunch. $15. Was delicious, the chips were crispy and the salad was a proper mixed salad, not just leaves & half of a cherry tomato, and all that was left of the cutlets, was the bones. And mushroom gravy is one of the best. Friendly staff.

Absolutely in our top 3 of eating out ... beautiful friendly staff.. clean premises... staff very polite with smiles.. smelt clean...my gosh even Gordon Ramsay would not turn anything away.. it's bang on .. delicious and excellent value for price. We had Fisherman's Basket husband normally eats everything and he couldn't finish it but he was full and happy and l had the Pot Pie mash & greens & daughters had chicken Snitty and cheeseburger etc bang on! we couldn't believe it.. keep it up.. if you need to stop for eats this is perfect.. we are from Victoria just passing through on our way home from Qld defiantly come back when travelling through again.. cheers Denham Family Victoria

New renovated looks good standard bar drinks .reason I gave this many stars is ate lunch and the mash potato wash dry and tasted like dehydrated potato vegetables didn't go much on only good thing was the beer and lamb cutlets.. staff were great ??'?

Visitors to Taree staying one night. Seen exchange hotel website pub looked great nice clean recently refurbished. Booked a room upstairs. Got a shock. Old dingy No flysceens on window not so much as a ceiling fan had mosquitoes. Bit of a clean maybe new carpet and flyscreens and a fan For gods sake

We turned up on Saturday 3rd of September as a family with 2 young girls and the staff could not have been more accommodating for us. They were fantastic. Made us feel so welcome and the lovely lady working there made some wonderful cocktails. We highly recommend The Exchange and thank you so much for a great night for us.

Enjoyed our meals at the Exchange Hotel, our first time eating here.
Service was prompt and the food nice. It's not fancy food, but good pub grub.
Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.

Called in for lunch, staff offer great quick service and very friendly Prices very good with lunch specials. Pub has under gone renovations and is very tidy and neat with plenty on seating.
Would recommend the exchange.

Just done up and looking really good??'?. The new Bistro looks ? yum???"????"???-???-??????-?and the foods cheap with good selection.They have dinner specials schnitzel / steak ?nights and a good gaming room and new pokies?. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Excellent pub with great staff, food (soon to be again available after the Taree flood damage has been fully repaired) and cold beers. The patrons are generally very friendly and it's a good spot to relax, wine and dine.

Best pub food experience I've had! My brisket was cooked to perfection, I really didn't need to use a knife, the sides were delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly and beer was great. Five stars

I had booked for 30+ people for a family get together, not realising they didn't have a specific dining area at the time.We sat in the main bar, a table set up for us, we all ordered our meals and were served quickly.The restaurant was absolutely flat out that night, but our meals were delivered quickly, and they were delicious!Only thing to fault, was there was no children's menu at all.I will be more than happy to return for a meal anytime.My compliments to the staff in the kitchen, bar staff and the lovely lady who looked after us on the night.

My husband and I went to 'Plates' restaurant. His T-Bone steak was excellent. Meanwhile, I had the best Caesar Salad I have ever had. Well done to the chef
