pub in the heart of Laidley. Have been here and stayed here previously and it was great. Different staff and patrons now.. it did not feel welcoming at all. It\'s always a bad thing when you pull open a door and its to the main bar and you draw attention to yourself. Haven\'t walked into a pub in that fashion in a long time.. it draws attention to yourself, makes everyone inside turn at look at you.. it\'s not a comfortable feeling when your not a local and well, that\'s why places were stopped being designed like that years ago.. street parking only. Cant recommend

Uncle Ken\'s food is dynamic and comparable to some of the bet Thai that I have ever had.
bar Staff are fantastic awesome service and a wonderful Ambience
Paul and Blake always make us feel at home
Only thing that lets the place down is the house policy put in place by a previous manager that does not allow children after 8:30pm
There are not many successful pubs out there that aren\'t child friendly

We had to stay in town due to some unforeseen events and the Exchange had some capacity which was great.

But I must say we were quite shocked about the state of the rooms and accommodation.
I could get very graphic and describe it all, even considering taking images but I decided to leave all of that so the next guests may have a better experience and the housekeeping may get some motivation to improve the overall impression.
