Had dinner with family on Saturday 28/12/24 was Amazing. All age groups from kids to seniors was well catered for. The Excelsior Schnitzel was a big hit,the cheesey Bacon garlic bread was yummy, shame I had to share. Had Prawn Tacos which were AMAZING. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We will definately be back. Highly recommend.

For the first time, we chose to eat out for Christmas lunch. I know I speak for the entire family, (20 in total) when I say, we were really pleased with every aspect of the Excelsior. Placement of our party was perfect, as one of our family is high special needs. A great selection of meals to suit all, and the staff, (all very nice) although run off their feet, came over to check, more than once, that we had all that we needed and we were happy with our meals. I would also like to commend the behind the scenes kitchen staff, for doing an amazing job, which I am sure must be hectic and stressful. The food was great. Everything was great. Food is always great, used to go to another pub in the north east but over there the service has gotten worse. Sharon is a great server really nice and kind. She brings a refreshing light to hospitality.

The chefs did an amazing job as they're supposed to, food cooked very well. Served very hot straight from the kitchen. The salads were astounding with the amazing dressing and everyone on the table ate all their salad.

Definitely would recommend especially during the days they aren't busy ❤️❤️

As a visitor to The pub for the first time. Sharon greeted me with a lovely smile. And helped me every inch of the way. Including meal suggestions etc. I ordered a 2 course Seniors Meal comprising Soup and main course. Each course was well presented and delivered hot. Excellent size meals..Sharon showed excellent customer skills when dealing with other patrons. I will call again in coming months. Decor is very user friendly and welcoming. Background noises are reduced Plenty of car parking. Highly recommended. Worth 1000 🌟
