Was totally disgusted at what I saw last night. Couldn't believe my eyes! Around midnight some guy was so drunk that he stripped off he's pants and went to sit down to play a machine! He was completely naked from the waist down! How does the venue serve someone so much alcohol that they get that drunk? Your head office will be definitely hearing about this!

Working at Thomas town and staying 1st night at the Excelsior. What a great place to have an after work drink, and dinner. we will be eating here as well in our stay. Shanina and Sharon looked after us for dinner ,wow how friendly and helpful Thankyou we had great food good company was a great time. Would recommend the hotel if you are looking for somewhere to eat.

I stayed over night last Friday. I was greeted by the friendly staff Michelle & Juliette
While at the bar a rude customer was abruptly rude to Juliette but all the while she stayed professional and problem solved his complaint.well done to you girl.
I was checked by Michelle who gave me the run down.
I ordered room service the famous steak sandwich it was delicious, well Cooked even the happy chap that delivered it to my door was lovely. I may suggest a napkin would have helped lol
I then went into the venue and the staff was great Michell followed up with me to ensure I had settled in alright.

The rooms have all been given a lovely face lift as I had previously stayed there 20yrs great job with the room bed was comfy

We've had dinner there a few times and the food is always fresh and well presented.
The staff are friendly and welcoming in particular Shahina. She always has a smile on her face and always stops to say hello. Very friendly environment with great food

Had recently been to the excelsior hotel with a group of friends. Saw the sign of cheap schooners and had a stop before heading home after a long day of work. The meals were great in size and generously portioned enough to leave satisfied. Shout out to chefs and head chef on at the time who came to greet me at the ordering station to provide some great recommendations of steaks and even vegetarian options of rice & pastas. Fantastic food and service by all. Will be returning to this pub. Cheers

Had a reunion luncheon for a large group of my work mates, and I must commend the Excelsior for the exceptional service they provided, particularly from Sharon and Josh, who ensured we were well looked after. Could not have asked for better service.
The food was excellent, and the venue has been upgraded to a high standard from when we met there last year.
I have no problem recommending the Excelsior for any function or just a leisurely meal.

The venue is nice ish and spacious
However I had the worst steak of my life here - a 50$ eye fillet. The pricings quite obscene for a pub
The steak was full of fat, just a really bad cut of meat with no seasoning whatsoever
Mushroom sauce also not fresh and really quite gross
Also asked for medium rare and what came out was a rare steak
Chicken Parma was decent but that steak was from another planet

When looking for a venue for my Dad's wake I came across the Excelsior Hotel. Other venues were charging per head which didn't suit us as we weren't sure how many people would attend. The Excelsior had a variety of platters available including sandwiches and hot and cold platters of food that suited our needs perfectly. Tea and coffee were also available. The initial staff I spoke to re the enquiry were very helpful and emailed me the menu immediately. The booking went smoothly and the bar staff and food waitress on the day of the wake were super friendly and helpful. The quality and the amount of food was wonderful, just what we required. I would highly recommend the Excelsior Hotel for such an event. Thank you so much.

My mum and I had a very nice lunch there, 2/24 12:30pm+ staff were friendly, food was yummy, service was within minutes from ordering to coming to our table. We just so happen to have been there when people were attending a wake in the function room just behind the partition next to us, as soon as the crowd lined at the bar for their drinks that's where they stayed. Very awkward eating our food and having strangers standing close by gathering in their groups. They had the whole of the function room booked for their wake only to stand in the bistro where diners were eating their lunch, and some were still coming in for lunch. If it wasn't for the delicious food we probably would have walked out. Not very polite if you ask me.

Christmas lunch was incredible. Service was great, everything ran smoothly, food tasted fantastic (especially the pink cupcakes). There was no shortage on food that's for sure! Worth the money, and worth spending Christmas!

The only reason I gave 1 star was because the food was actually ok. We have been coming to Excelsior for over 10 years and since covid this has majorly gone down hill. Management has very clearly changed hands. The security are useless, they let drunks from the TAB come through to the bistro side and let them harrass customers. The staff are just as bad laughing along with the drunks. The staff couldn't manage a bar and cocktails were served in plastic cups. Had arranged a booking, the bistro wasn't that busy and it took the staff over 10 minutes to show up to the sign that states wait to be seated. It such a shame for this well located bistro. We definitely won't be back and will be recommending our friends/family NOT to go back.

I love this restaurant. From the fantastic service to the amazing staff, this restaurant is one of my favourite locations to come to. Shahina, Riley and Anchal were all so lovely and provided excellent customer service. The pure happiness and joy my family and I experience here is incomparable to another restaurant. I will forever be a returning customer. Keep up the excellent work!

We had fathers dinner, service was fantastic from all staff especially Shahina and Brylee'. Food was great and excellent value for money. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Excelsior.

Brought my dad in for Father's Day. Food and service was absolutely beautiful. Chefs done great job, my dad was very impressed big thanks to brylee and girls very happy made our day. Cow boy steak woo hoo!

Ordered $50 Rib eye steak and was sold a different cut completely. When meal was ready they ran out of cutlery so I wasn't able to eat for 10 mins and food went cold. Additionally I complained to the manager and the bar staff to which I was told 'it comes from our supplier like that'. I showed them google articles and photos showing the difference in cuts and they ripped me off. Never offered a refund or a replacement.

Never coming back here again, overpriced food and no service help when required.

Plates and glasses are always left on tables as the staff never clean the area frequently leaving it hard to find an area to sit down.

We booked the area in the bistro for a birthday party and both the food and service absolutely stood out for me. Special thanks to the manager Brylee and the head chef JD who were extremely friendly and were happy to accommodate our special requests with food options for the party. All the items on the party menu were delicious. They can cater large groups and they have a separate kids play area which keeps all the kids busy.

Management claim they don't take bookings in the sports bar. Why is it we find 3 reserved signs on one table. The table we wanted as first in best dressed. Terrible communication from management.

I went to the excelsior hotel, the staff was amazing two people really stood out to me manager Brylee and supervisor shahina. They were happy to accommodate me with anything I wanted. The chef team did a great job at serving me the most delicious food.

We came in on mothers day for dinner booking. Would like to inform you guys of how great the service was! Food fantastic - ordered rack of lamb & rib eye steak as recommeneded by braylee & the main chef on. Great team work from kitchen team all food was fantastic. My mother and my family loved it. Room was nice, clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed, apart from a toaster!
Bed was soft but still had a good sleep.
Meal and drinks at the attached facility was very nice and filling!
The staff need some training. Forgetting items like keycard, so you can't get in the door, isn't idea when you are on the second floor.
On checkout it says you need to return the keycard, but reception isn't open?? Dunno what we meant to do with it.
They have a white rabbit running around the carpark 😅

The room is ok, parking space is easy. The main drawback is the hotel reception is in the bar. It is inconvenient for a family with kids to check in. Moreover, the bar is closed in the morning, so no staff at all in the premises. It would be great if they can provide a small office to manage the hotel itself. It is a bar with hotel at the back. I think they should mention this

My parents and l enjoy having lunch here on a weekly basis. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. A special thank you to Brylee who always make us feel at home! Ordering our meals through me&u is quick and easy.

Had dinner tonight with the family, including our 3 kids. We were served by Kylie in the bistro. To say she was amazing would be an understatement. She went above and beyond for the kids, was extremely kind and caring and very generous making our kids laugh and enjoy their time here instead of being bored. Kylie is an absolute asset to your company and we would not hesitate in coming back to see her smiling face again.

We had our son's 9th birthday on Sunday and we couldn't fault anything. The staff and management were amazing! The venue and its great play area was excellent.

Was a good place as in seats, look and pokies. But the food wasn't great, we were waiting a fair while for food, one of the meals come out when everyone else was finished. And the drinks ordered with the meals didn't come out so had to go to bar and show proof of purchase and get it ourselves. Over all pub or should I say restaurant part wasn't ran well, manager should be on top of this stuff. It wasn't even busy at the time we went.

Everything is great here. Food is very good. Sadly not any real vegetarian options except side dishes or garlic bread.
We go a few times a year for family celebrations. Pity people congregate at back steps to smoke. Smell wafts in when doors open.

Always greeted with a smile. Most of bar staff are nice except for one chic. Probably because she can't handle pressure caused by her talking to the blokes causing her to fall behind. Pokes pay out a little considering this place is packed all the time pumping the governments pockets full tilt. ???". Staff always walking around offering drinks which is nice.

Great food. Had 500g steak cooked to perfection. First time using online ordering. Was greeted with a smile by young girl called brilee. She explained to me and my friends how to use the app was very helpful. All staff were nice and quick service. Will return. Thank you!

Excellent customer service especially from Michelle in the gaming area. She went above and beyond to follow up with our order of a bowl of wedges. She provided generous sized snacks of two toasted ham and cheese sandwiches and a large serve of chips and two drinks while we waited. As well as following up with our order and advising us of its progress. It took an hour and ten minutes for our wedges to arrive and they were delicious. This is the first time we have experienced such a delay at the Excelsior Hotel as it was exceptionally busy within the bistro area. The bistro manager came over to apologise and we were given our money back for the wedges! We were highly compensated for the delay. We highly recommended the delicious meals and wonderful staff there. A big thank you to Michelle in making sure I didn't faint.

Went for dinner here and my husband and myself had a wow moment with the Lamb shanks.
The food was amazing.

I would have given 5 stars however their menu has shrunk and there were far fewer options to choose from for dinner. However the meals came out super quick even though we were a large group and the place was packed, and everyone enjoyed their meals. So thank you Excelsior!

Even with the current Covid number restrictions it was easy to get an early Bistro dinner booking. The chicken & veg soup was awesome and seniors meals were 10/10.

Stood at the bistro waiting area for almost 30 minutes and couldn't see one staff member to come seat us. We ended up walking out hungry and you guys just lost our buisness and we will never be back again very poor service

Great place for a drink and eating. The food was delicious when we went there and came pretty quick. Staff were helpful and friendly. The big screens are a joy to watch whatever sport you are interested in. I'd recommend this place highly.

Awesome food and customer service at the bistro. All staff at the bistro very friendly and nice. The gaming Covid-19 police ruined it a little by being both over officious and inconsistent.
