Great experience on Saturday July 25th for dinner. Staff (young lady and guy) where super friendly. Great drinks. Food was very good, served hot and tasty. Have the Chicken Rosco. It\'s delicious. 4 friends. We sat and talked for ages. Never hassled or made to feel we\'d outstayed our welcome. 4 drinks, 4 mains, sides onion rings, 4 arancini, 4 coffees and 4 sticky dates with ice-cream. Yum!! $60 each. Highly recommended. Parking on street is good to. Long live the Dick.

We went to the Dick for the first time in a while last week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It seems like management or ownership has changed because the food was fantastic, the other patrons were friendly and polite (which was a change since we were there last) and the staff were accommodating and efficient. Given how tough the industry is doing it at the moment, this was a real stand out to us. Would highly recommend if it's your first time visiting or it's been a while since you last visited and want to give it another try. Props to the new managers or owners for really cleaning the venue up and making something wonderful of it. An extra added bonus having car parking out the back or plenty of options on Chapel St. We will be back!

Our drumming group of 14 people came in for our end of term dinner and drinks.

Food was great, everyone was very satisfied.
The Staff were lovely and accomodating.
And the pints were equally as lovely 😋

The DW has also been spruced and cleaned up.. nice clientele and a relaxed atmosphere about the place.

We've visited this hotel many times over the years and have always enjoyed it, which made our recent experience even more disappointing.

We booked for a group of nearly 30 people, but unfortunately the food quality was well below what we've come to expect.

My $29 steak sandwich was extremely tough and chewy. I mentioned this to the waitress and asked if she could pass the feedback on to the chef, but I never received any response. Another person ordered the Irish Parma, which came with a "side salad" consisting of just a few lettuce leaves and no dressing. The Parma portions also varied noticeably in size between meals. The pizza was dry and overcooked, and the fish and chips were also sent back.

The following day I spoke to the manager, hoping the feedback would be taken seriously. The only response I received was, "I'll let the owner know," which was disappointing.

It's a shame because the venue itself has a lovely atmosphere, a cosy fireplace, and the staff were friendly. We'd really like to see the food quality improve, as we've always enjoyed coming here in the past. At this stage, however, we're unlikely to return unless there are significant improvements in the kitchen.

A lovely old school pub atmosphere. The front bar is a sports bar with pool table and tv's. There is a pokies room seperate to the bar and bistro.
I absolutely love the booths in the bistro. Friendly service. Food is great value!
