After a bit of a mix up with the food order, the manager came to our rescue and put it all right. Fantastic service and the food was good too.

Overall it's a FIVE.I am giving a 4 to the service cos the waitress wasn't that friendly.She just dropped the food but other than that,the food was really nice.I had the Rump steak and my partner had the Salmon Crispy Skin.Highly recommended??????

Second time visiting in a week & won't be returning.

Visited last week for a family dinner, we all ordered together & half the group received & finished their meals well before the rest of the food turned up, one being a chewy, cold steak. We flagged with the staff clearing the finished plates & the manager, who were apologetic & so we left it at that. We all did note that the food seems to have gone downhill since our prior visits.

So two of us returned last night, ordered schnitzels with an extra sauce (feedback from our prior visit was that the gravy wasn't great so we didn't want to risk it). Paid for the extra sauce but it didn't arrive. Wasn't overly phased, however when I returned to the counter to ask for another I was given a lecture by the cashier about "being clear when ordering" & received an eye roll when I said I was clear & showed that I had paid for it. The staff clearing plates however were really attentive & polite.

Not sure if we've just had the bad luck of 2 "one-off" bad experiences, but we wont be coming back to give it a third go. Regardless of the confusion on ordering, I don't expect to be given attitude & eye rolled by staff. I work in customer service & there are ways of discussing the confusion without being rude. There are also plenty of other places in Dee Why where you can get a drink & a meal without an attitude, so I'd suggest going elsewhere.

Just get the Trufflenator. Special burgers can be hit or miss.

Good place to have a beer/drinks, listen to live music and maybe eat something. I am not sure if I can leave a compliment about the food. Once I ate a really outstanding food there, but last friday I ordered a margherita pizza that came with no tomato and no basil. Just cheese and tomato sauce. If you guys fix it, maybe I can give a 5 star.

The pub is alright, but never order the Fish Tacos. Very poor making. Zero flavour or personality. They should change the recipe or take them out on the menu.

Probably the worst pub you'll ever go to. No atmosphere, never a good vibe, no soul. It's a half arsed attempt at being cool. They may have a good burger & a decent selection of beers, but it's a dire place to call a local. Somewhere to avoid, especially claiming to be open until 3am but actually closes at 1am. What a joke of an establishment.

Dee Why Hotel has 'tight Tuesdays' where everything on the menu ( apart from the few items with an asterisk) is $15! My family and I had fish and chips, chicken parmigiana and salmon all for $15 each. Total bargain! My salmon was usually priced at $32. The service was really good, the venue was pleasant, lively and packed full of people taking advantage of the excellent meals on offer.

Nice enough place. Good amount of beers. Friendly staff. Ordered the schnitzel with mash and veg. The veg I got was 5 thin slices of carrot that was it ?? not really sure why the smallest portion. My partner had the same thing. Everything was really tasty just thought was a little ripped off for getting next to no vegetables. Had the sticky toffee pudding after and the portion was huge, loved it and super tasty. Pic below

This is a great local spot with friendly staff. I highly recommend trying their nachos and chicken schnitzel. For drinks, I highly recommend ordering their margaritas and Weis mango cocktail. There's a good selection of white wines too. Nice comfy ambience.

Big shout out to the Dee Why hotel, who apparently spent a fortune on this advertising campaign for Dad eats free on Fathers Day!
No - don't display it out the front of the Hotel!

Yes - display it on the back of cubicle toilet door!
Yes - hide it on the very back of the menu!
Yes - when questioned about the offer, state that because you all ordered separately, we cant honour our offer!

At least tonight, my steak wasn't cooked by the kitchen hand, like the last few times and my steak was quite nice, thanks.

I apologies for my colourful language, but please stop coming up with such colourful ways to not honour offers, or just saying sorry when a rib-eye turns up like flailed road tire!

Quality of the food here is really really good. Great deals early in the week and a decent happy hour. Solidly in the rotation.

The kids enjoyed fish & chips, while I had The Famous Trufflenator and my husband made his way through the Korean-Fried Chicken Burger.
All very generously served!

My friend told me to come here for dinner and wow, I'm surprised by the quality of food and the service of the staff here.
Stunning food and well priced, tastes superb and I loved the mashed potatoes.
Would definitely come back again, it's worth the track for me to get here from the city ?

Stopped by this venue for lunch today. Venue wasn't busy at all. Ordered two Burgers, the Master Pork Burger and the Korean Fried Chicken Burger both with a side of chips. Chips were cold when the meals arrived, both burgers had far too much coriander on them, and the piece of chicken on the Korean Fried Chicken Burger was RAW all the way through. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Won't be returning or recommending this venue.
Will note that both the young girl and guy who I took the raw burger back to were very apologetic and offered a refund for the burger straight away, however the chef made no effort to acknowledge nor apologise for his lack of cooking skills when he was shown the raw burger.

Decent pub with surprisingly good food. Will be back again soon for another beer but not sure why only one of your burgers come with chips? Appreciate the quick replies on your Facebook page! See you soon.

Great environment for after work drinks! Food is really good, especially their pizzas. Service is friendly and the dining areas are cleaned regularly.

I just had my birthday at Dee Why Hotel last night. Highly disappointed.

The food was less than average and portion sizes were tiny (see attached photo) My salad was a joke! I needed a microscope to see it.

What made it worse, over 4 hours our group of 7 ordered 4 rounds. We then had two shots within the next hour... To our surprise our table was cut off. Really!!!

Being a mature group, it wasn't worth arguing and we left. No loss, by 10pm the place was dead anyway.

Sorry Dee Why Hotel, there are too many quality places to waste our time on you again.

Our meals were excellent, the Kingston Burger and Gnocchi specials in particular. A great range of beers and ciders on tap, including Reschs. Very well laid out and presented. I also enjoyed spending some time in the private room near the Pittwater Rd entry dedicated to the history of Dee Why and the origins of the pub.

The food is very good and there's a lot of choice.
Wide variety of beers on tap and good cocktails.
The daily specials (both food and drinks) are a plus.
The food is well priced but the drinks are a bit expensive.
Overall, it's a great place and I'll keep coming back.

Best burgers on the Beaches. Good pub, good staff, good selection of beers. Support your local business (they already support local charity and sport).

They have amazing deals that can be light to the pocket. A great selection of Beer, Wines and Spirits at the bar too. It is an amazing place for all, family dinners, date nights, and just an evening to chill out with friends. It is a must visit if you're in or around the Northern Beaches, mainly in Dee Why.

One of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had! Dee Why Hotel does it right! So many places over complicate it, This cheeseburger is just awesome!The food overall is pretty awesome! The atmosphere is super chill, great to hangout with friends and Family. Great bar and great service!

Home of the famous "Trufflenator Burger", we trekked out here for a lunch once.
I was pleasantly surprised at how big, spacious and nicely decorated this pub was!
There were nice lounges and big armchairs near the big fire place as well as plenty of little areas for a more private dining session. Dark and smouldering is what this place was!

The food was amazing and that burger and the cheese fries is worth a heart attack! We shared it as we had a big dinner event lined up so it left us wanting more.

Would definitely recommend this place and the burger!
