Without doubt the best watering hole in the CBD, with the loveliest staff. I think I saw Judith Lucy there.

Authentic decor and service from staff. We had a team lunch here and we enjoyed our meal and dining experience. It's amazing how they kept the original look and feel. The lady serving at the bistro was wonderful.

A great place for post work drinks. The drinks are also super cheap and probably the cheapest place in Martin Place. We had a private room and enjoyed every minute in the CTA

The red room is exactly what you want in a loval pub, but this in right in the middle of the city! The bar staff are extremely friendly and could not be more accommodating, the atmosphere is great and the jugs are cheap and cold. It's got a nostalgic feel that makes you feel at home.

I do feel bad for staff when they have to put up with talking people through the sign in system. Whoever thought making people download an app to sign into a venue that has ZERO phone reception needs their head checked.

Now that the red room secret is out (best spot in the city for a few cobbies), make the weary traveller permanent please, or at least some sort of live venue. Sydney City is sorely missing live music venues of this size.

Finally I know what's inside the mysterious Space Mushroom. I'm giving it four stars because you have to specifically be looking for a timewarp to enjoy this place. The food is, well, 1970s RSL standard: edible and economic with no modern flair. The decor is untouched: carpets on the walls, wood-paneled bistro, very unique atmosphere. Reminds me of The Shining hotel. It's basically a bunker deep below the MLC center. Solid silence. Extremely friendly staff, almost ethereal... my partner and I exchanged quiet jokes about them being ghosts...? For a good fifteen minutes afterwards, we were genuinely disoriented being back on the streets of Sydney. It was so peaceful and archaic down in the CTA. It's such a weird and special place. I hope it stays.

I Loved CTA Business Club. The Bistro serves Stadium Club Food at a reasonable price. Very cheerful & friendly Staff. There is a Bar, Bistro & Reading Room with a Grand Piano. The Decor feels like 1 is in a 1970's Time Warp.

I'd love this time-wrap to remain as long as it can. It's not for everyone. It's an oasis in the CBD indeed. If you want to pay for your steaks, there are lots around, elsewhere (not even A5).

A great convenient place to stay in CBD. Good standard of accommodation in concise ensuite rooms both doubles, twins and singles. All hours access possible for booked rooms.

A trip back in time but for all the best reasons. This place is an absolute gem. Friendly service with reasonable prices.

The food is not that great. It's typical club fare with somewhat tough steaks and soggy chips (although the chicken schnitzel is good). The real selling point for this place is that it's generally quiet and they have plenty of seating, which makes it an oasis in the middle of the CBD.

Old school, retro charm. I adore the CTA club dining room, with its red carpet and pokie machines. A great place for a Friday lunch in the CBD.

This is like walking into the 1970's. Beer is served very cold...the coldest i remember. Food is quite expensive though for a club. Worth a visit just forthe red velvet booths
