Clearly you don't read your reviews or seem to care about them. But, some customer service wouldn't go astray. If you don't like people maybe another job ? This could be an amazing pub if the people working there weren't old and cranky

Service was awful.
No chicken shnitty or parmi available on a Sunday long weekend at 12pm. Only offered steak or seafood basket. $38 for a rib fillet ordered medium rare, it was the most over cooked cardboard tasting steak and waited over an hour for the food. Extremely disappointed. Pub food is normally a safe choice to get a good feed most places in Australia, not here

We had lunch there two weeks ago. Like fools, we ordered 'tempura whiting'. Dear readers, it was not tempura. It wasn't even good batter. The batter and the fish were tasteless, and the side salad lacking any kind of effort. We ate this on a wide verandah lacking any atmosphere other than the fumes from the motorcycles roaring past the pub. You also have to walk from the carpark into the pub through a cloud of cigarette smoke at the rear entrance because that's where the smokers are allowed to hang out. A very unpleasant welcome to a pretty ordinary dining experience.

The bar does not even serve any kind of sparkling mineral water. That tells you what kind of clientele the management wants. They're welcome to it because I won't ever go back. There are plenty of other places to eat in the area which are better quality and value.

Had the best barramundi - melted in the mouth. Garlic bread good too. Steak - eye fillet was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Lovely evening sitting outside. Fair prices. Thank you to the Dayboro Pub. (Crown)

We asked for a table for 15 people, they served all our friends and then we arrived at 2.03pm and they wouldn't do any more meals. They forgot one steak that come out at 2.15pm and it come out well done when it was supposed to be medium rare . Food that friends did eat was ordinary. Won't go back. And wont recommend.

What a cute old pub. Old world charm and live that they kept that magnificent tree out the front. Just stopped for a quick while passing through to Maleny.

Looking for a Sunday drive that had a dog friendly destination, Dayboro Crown Hotel hit the mark.

An old pub with charm and personality and a huge deck we could sit on with our two dogs. We wanted lunch, and I wanted prawns, but being away from the coast, I was a bit worried. I need not have been.

Hubby's bacon and egg burger was wonderful, and my crumbed prawns with salad and chips were fabulous. Service was great as well.

Looking for a destination pub, I highly recommend the Crown.

Went for a drink on Saturday night with a group for a birthday. The lady behind the bar who served us would have to be the rudest, grumpiest person ever!! She huffed and puffed at everything I said (and it was by no means a complicated order!) and had the most sour look on her face the whole time. Everyone who was with us had the exact same experience with her. Older lady with shortish brown hair. I was going to make a complaint right there and then but was then told that she is the owner/manager so didn't bother! Otherwise it's a great little pub and the drinks were very reasonably priced.

Absolutely appalling! We were the first people to oder two steak sandwiches! I enquired twice and was Tod they had new staff . At 1 hour 15 minutes l asked again and heard the cook say don't worry about them . I asked for the money back which was given back with much embarrassment for the staff . Other patrons heard what was said and then cancelled their orders. This is apart from the people who took back their meals. I have never done a bad review but felt compelled after going to the Dayboro Hotel ?

I can't give any stars as the food was uneatable and the service was appalling. Everyone in my group was very disappointed. We arrived early to give staff a chance to get our order right. Unfortunately that didn't help my meal was uneatable and so was my husbands. I ordered reef and beef medium rare and my husbands was medium T bone. Both our stakes were burned on one side and just warmed on the other . It was not even enough to colour the meat. We arrived 11.45 and placed our order , we got our meal at nearly 1pm. We gave our meat to a friends dog as it was uneatable. Some of our friends still had not received their meal at 1.20. The orders were constantly mixed up or just wrong.
We had pre booked so they had our numbers and there was not a lot of other customers as it was a Monday lunchtime. It was a real disappointment as we had great memories of past times at Dayboro.
My advice give it a miss.

Booked table, walked in, looked at menu.. nothing on menu that was close to appealing to eat for myself or any of our friends we took out for dinner.. after checking specials board, tried to order from it, only to be told sorry not available.. realised why so many empty tables. Left without getting meal.

A quiet location in the heart of town this 100+ year old pub has a relaxed atmosphere and great food. A little pricey but well worth the price! Complements to the chef for preparing our wonderful meals.

Verandah is not the best place to have a meal or try a conversation on the weekend. Full of fumes, motor bikes revving and then a patron sat outside and put his car radio on full volume and enjoyed his ale on the sidewalk while everyone else suffered. Meal was very good and the staff excellent.

Biggest and best Chicken Parmi EVER. The friendly service and decor showcase gorgeous old school country charm it's hard to believe this is just a short scenic drive so close to suburbia and the city. A beautifully breezy verandah adds to the relaxed atmosphere of this very well maintained historic venue.

My partner had seen this place during a work trip and when we were in the area again we thought it would be good to try out. The pub has a lot of charm in a small town kind of way. The menu is simple, classic pub stuff and sandwiches. They weren't too busy on a Saturday at lunch time so getting a table and ordering was easy, food came out in a timely manner. The sandwiches were excellent! Generous with all fillings, good amount of sauce, everything seemed fresh. I'll be coming back just for that steak, bacon and egg sandwich!

Stopped in for a meal and a drink on a Saturday evening.

The food was absolutely terrible - would never bother again!

Mate ordered a rare steak and received well done.
I ordered the most aussie thing you can - chicken parmy and whatever that sauce was under the cheese tasted so bad I scraped it off. The breadcrumb on the chicken was dark, soggy and it was obvious the oil in their fryer is old.
The seafood basket was rated OK. Not terrible but nothing special either
Chips that came with all meals for all of us were pretty much cold when they arrived

Meals werent cheap either and for the price you would expect better!

Drinks were good with a decent selection

This place has a lot of character. It has that genuine small country town feel. There are plenty of characters around and it seems to be a good place for bike riders to stop as they pass through.

We came here in 2012 and back then, we thought they had the best Steak Sandwich ever. Today 11 years later, we visited again. Guess what, we still think they have the best Steak Sandwich ever!! ?
Came in 5 minutes before closing the kitchen, no worries at all!
Lovely friendly staff. For sure, we will visit again, thank you!

Came out from Brissie with the cheese and my little maltese looking for a country feed.
Spoke to Jaz on the phone who said dogs were welcome.
Generous portions beautifully cooked and the service and atmosphere matches the meal.
Outstanding.
Well done Jaz and the team.
You will see our little family again and again.
Cheers.

I can see why it has taken 7 years for us to visit this establishment and we live in Dayboro. The actual restaurant had only 2 tables set up inside and the rest seem to be out the front deck. We were seated on a table that was dirty, no tablecloth and was out in the wind. We ended up moving it under the awning for more comfort as it was cold and the heater wasnt working. There was virtually no choice in wine, just 1 brand to choose from that I do not particularly like. So had to purchase a bottle from the drive through which we were then charged corkage for. Food took 45 minutes to arrive. I noticed others who had arrived after us all had meals before us. I ordered beef and burgundy pie which actually tasted quite nice but was pretty much cold. Hubby ordered a chicken schnitzel which was extremely overcooked and a solid slab hard to eat. Others at the table got their meals 15 mins after ours arrived and then the final meal another 5 mins later. A visit to the toilet took 20 mins as there was only 1 and it had three people before me. The toilet itself was pretty scary with the toilet seat as old as the hills, dirty, scratchy and the toilet itself is far from clean. This place needs a huge makeover, its a gold mine waiting to be discovered. There is nothing quaint about it, its just old and dilapidated. I can see why locals don't rate it as place worth visiting. It will be at least another 7 years before think about visiting again.

A lovely country style Pub with friendly staff to greet you. A small menu to choose from for the dinner menu, but in saying that, the meal portions are very generous and value for money. Quite a fast turnaround from I had ordered to the meal arriving at my table. I will be a return customer for sure!!

Service was satisfactory relaxing place, Meals were ordered and were tasty but dead cold and took forever to arrive 45 minutes. Staff really look as if there is no communication or like for each other I wouldn't eat there again I'll try another business in town. Prices were excessive and serving sizes tiny for a pub that's not that great.

After a hard day riding, being questioned on the awesome ride up the dirt by the local constabulary, the lovely, great looking very helpful ladies from the dayboro Crown Hotel, serves fantastic food and cold beverages.
Thank you ladies.
From the 2 dirty smelling dirt bike riders.

Hmmm....I have to say... it took ages for our meal to make it to our table...so much so, I almost asked for a refund...and then, the meal was pretty ordinary, not to mention, pricey.
I think the amount of visitors that came and went made for interesting viewing. Is a great place to visit... just the once for me, however, it may be perfect for others.
I apologise. I am trying to find a positive... the only one I can come up with is the amount of motorcyclists with their fabulous bikes that were parked up along the street. Now that was a beautiful sight

I have been to the Crown a few times in the last couple of weeks and I only went to the main public bar so can't say anything about the food but the beer was poured and served with a smile and quick talk about the area. The glasses were spotless as was the rest of the joint. My mate says that they do a great chicken parmi.nTo me the bar is a perfect 'Aussie' pub bar, the type that the yanks and the poms try to emulate in their 'Aussie' theme pubs. It's got plenty of photos on the wall of festivities and the like which were taken with the pub in the background for example as the bullock trains of yesteryear would bring their massive hauls of hardwood timber logs from the mountains. nSo if you are riding around up near Mt.Glorious and Mt.Mee make sure you drop in to get a beer and some beef jerky.nTell em Bender sent ya!
