Recently called into Coolaroo Hotel for lunch on a Saturday. The staff were very obliging and greeted me on arrival. They offered a number of tables to sit at and also advised how to order your meal either via the me&u beacon on the table or directly with the staff member at the bar. The food came out quickly and was presented very well and the portion size was great. Would go back again and try something different.

We attended a surprise birthday / engagement a few weeks ago .
The function room was a great space for the occasion .
The food was lovely ..bar staff were friendly and courteous.
Courtney and her team did a great job decorating and making the evening special .

We have used this hotel frequently for work and it never disappoints
Carmel has always ensured all the workers have a place to stay no matter how bust and has been a pleasure to deal with over the past few month. The guys enjoy staying here, the room are clean and modern and the food and hospitality is always friendly a first class

I cannot recommend this place any higher, well done everyone

Mother's Day special!
We waited over 1 hour for the first of 12 meals to come out. It took an additional 45 minutes to bring them all out.
Every meal was stone cold. 1 meal was refunded as it wasn't edible due to being so cold. The refund was for less than we paid.
One of the staff had friends or family at a table as they were served before us and they arrived and ordered after us. They even got served at the bar before me when they were in the cue behind me (doesn't make sense).
We have been here many times in the past and the food has been good, but tonight's experience was inexcusable.
Unfortunately, the majority of the group is going home hungry and won't be returning.

Rooms are clean, modern and we'll appointed. Customer service is excellent across the board. The bistro style menu is held to a very high standard by the young and

I used play pokies at Coolaroo Hotel,years ago,then stopped. Recently, I decided to go for some fun ,but I caught COVID from going there! They don't wipe down the machines and the staff don't sanitise their hands anymore! I've been sick of 14 days..and I know it's them because I usually self isolate to be safe. All I wanted was a day out! Instead I got sick! Ruined my Christmas and new years! Clean up your place! You need to go and spray the machines and wipe them. Tell your staff not to laugh and cough over our coffees!

Just hosted my 25th birthday party and the whole process was amazing. Alex helped me organised everything from day 1! She was very informative and communicated everything I needed on time. I've stayed at the Coolaroo hotel many times over the past 10 or 12 years and always been impressed with the friendly, helpful staff and recent upgraded rooms. The meals are generous and tasty ,the beds etc are so comfortable. The only downside is not having a proper, covered,seated smoking area for hotel guests. Ian. QLD.

We visited this venue tonight and could not fault , the service was amazing, good food 100/: spot on . The young lady behind the bar was outstanding, well done Lonny . We will definitely be back .

Dropped in for a meal had a steak it was great and cooked how i asked for (medium rare) staff very attentive, nice cold beer and great TAB set up...yes i won... will definitely drop in again when I'm in the area highly recommend ??'?

We recently had lunch with the family at the bistro. We found all staff to be friendly and attentive to the needs of our group. We would have liked to see some vegetarian options on the menu in the main meals section. Apart from that, the afternoon was perfect!

Friendly local pub, with great service by all the Staff. Meals served pretty quickly, (whenever I have been there). Usual pub fare, nice when you just a Parma & chips. A variety of food on both the Main Menu as well as the Specials. Good Selection on the Senior List also.

We stayed at the nightcap at Coolaroo Hotel. The customer service was excellent, food was great and kids area was awesome. Highly recommend staying here and eating in the bistro. Everyone was highly accommodating.

Fantastic service!! We highly recommend, we had a horrible experience at another hotel and after driving 12 hours from Sydney we called the Coolaroo hotel and explained our situation at the hotel we originally booked, and they really accommodated us on such short notice.

Camal really made our trip pleasant in the hotel. The room (number 1) was nice and clean very spacious for 3x adults. Housekeeping comes daily and it wasn't super early in the morning like most hotels which was amazing!

The lady at the bar (short black spikey hair) was lovely, she accommodated us with making some cocktails (which wasn't on the cocktail list)

Overall, this hotel really made our Melbourne trip pleasant. If we were to ever come back to Melbourne, we would definitely be staying back at the Coolaroo Hotel!

I just celebrated my 21st birthday on the weekend and I couldn't recommend enough having your function here. Carmel was amazing and so accommodating in the preparation for my event. Courtney was amazing helping with everything before and day of the event, she set up everything better then I could have imagined and was so accommodating throughout the evening and made everything run smoothly. Highly recommend having your function here.

Shocking service from the Bartender Lee.
She expressed very poor customer service when commutating with clients while bar tending and providing table service.
Her communication skills are less than desirable and require some adjustments
I would like to see the managers at the Hotel have a talk to her about
her behaviour.
I do not recommend going to the hotel when this lady is on shift.

The food and rooms were super cheap (the kids meals were $5), the service was actually so nice - they were really quick and apologised when things didn't go right, the rooms were pretty big and clean, the discounts were decent, and in general it was a good place.

My girlfriend & I just had dinner at the pub. Food was great & so was the service.

Courtney was very welcome & acknowledged us on more than one occasion.

We will be back.

My husband & i have been regular customers over the years we have enjoyed our meals as well ,tonight 14th Jan we enjoyed our meal then went to play the pokies, after being in the venue for a hour a staff member asked my husband to remove his small rim hat due to security cameras ,I get that but what she didn't know is that my husband has cancer & is undergoing chemotherapy & feels uncomfortable going out as he has lost his hair due to his treatment , I think questions should be asked before embarrassing people

Great family venue! Food is amazing and great value for money. Def worth making a booking for the Bistro! Esp if you want the kids area. $5 kids meals and an awesome kids area! Bring the whole family!

We had our daughter's 2nd birthday party on Sunday, and it was beyond amazing!!! Our hosts are lovely and GREAT!!
The party was excellent from beginning to end. Everyone had an amazing time. The level of organisation and venue present is Excellent. Cannot fault the hospitality of the team involved thank you team kitchen for accommodating vegetarian and non - vegetarian food
It was a great success, the guests were comfortable and the food was amazing as usual. The service was impeccable!
All 65 guests had an awesome time, and not one complaint. ☺️

Staff were very friendly and inviting. All meals were enjoyable and hot when we received. Kids also loved the playground and their food.

Food quality varies from really great to 'ehhh'. Establishment is outdated. It's had renovation after renovation over the years but still looks a little shoddy. The playground is not enclosed so it can get extremely noisy if there are some shriek-y kids in there. Staff are always really lovely and attentive. Everything is pretty affordable and portion sizes are pretty good.

Great place, great atmosphere and great value. Today I was greeted by Melissa, a bartender who was very nice and helpful. No bad word to say about the venue and the employee's

I really appreciated the customer service of Loni. She made my family and I feel warm and welcome in the bistro. Really engaged with us and was helpful. Cheers Loni and excellent food

We had Our daughter's Communion in The Hotels function room, everything was great.

Service was great and friendly, we enjoyed our time.

Absolutely first class service! Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff. The venue looked amazing and the food was delicious! All of the 150 guests who attended my wedding absolutely loved it. I can't Thank the staff enough who helped make our special day memorable.

Have stayed a couple of times now, and will again in the future, besides the mattress being to firm for my back everything else was excellent, very happy.

room had not been serviced properly..no towels, bath mat, face washers or included breakfast boxes. toilet seat wasn't attached and toilet roll holder had fallen from wall got back from dinner and TV wouldn't work. . reception was unattended at the time and no other staff could help. No phone in room to call reception to get help. Email sent Friday night not responded to yet (Tuesday). a friend in another room had no toilet paper at all
