I came in not too long ago and was served by some very unpleasant staff in which resulted in a conversation with the so called venue manger with a dumb pixie cut.
She was rude and dismissive and I will never ever eat biscuits, drink or gamble here again
But I may have a coffee if I'm in the areab

My brother and I just visited the hotel and was discussed in the mannerism from the so called female manger very unprofessional very rude and we will never return to such a discussing horrible place where they employ scum. The manager was even annoyed when I asked for a cup of coffee let alone a biscuit as she stated to me " only one packet". I've never been so humiliated and look like an idiot from a so called manager that obviously needs to go to school to learn good manors.

Great old historic pub. Good accommodation without the frills. Share bathroom clean and tidy . Accommodation on the first floor on magnificent stair case.
Restaurants closed due to no chef. However worth a visit when down Camperdown way.

Now just a pokies joint and no longer a cosy country pub. They don't even serve meals or run a bottleshop anymore - the new owner seems focussed on gambling revenue. It's incredibly sad when you consider the impact of gambling addiction on rural communities. Thankfully the lovely Hampden pub down the road has a great vibe, good meals and an excellent beer garden!

I'm reluctant to share my 5 star rating of this hotel because I'm really tempted to keep it as 'a best kept secret'. But in the interests of sharing the bounty, what a truly wonderful establishment. First of all, the staff - brilliant! The accommodation, would rank with any of the high 4-star competition. And at half the price, for a queen suite overlooking the main street with tea and coffee plus a kitchen with multiple breakfast options available. All inclusive. Spotlessly clean and beautiful Victorian architecture.
