We stopped here for lunch last Sunday 8th Sept. $19 buys you a cracking meal !! Southern fried chicken burger with chips on a pizza paddle - so big I had to ask for a takeaway container. You have to try their seeded mustard & cheese bread - delicious! Absolutely lovely staff who certainly know the meaning of hospitality and make you want to return for another meal. Highly recommend to all. ??

1 star is way too many. Most incompetent pub I've ever been to. Ordered full rack of ribs, and I waited 2 hrs being patient, thinking maybe they'll take a while. Eventually, asked where my order was. After another 10 minutes, they bring me out a small half rack if you can call it that and not what I'd ordered on the side saying they had it sitting there as a takeaway. Mind you I had a table number and so on. So I said how long was it sitting there...no response.
I asked for a refund and no apology or alternative offered. Left starving what a bunch of bogans. Go elsewhere where you won't be disappointed.

Four of us had a lovely lunch yesterday with exceptional service. Had 2 serves of fish of the day (nannygai) and 2 different schnitzels. Food was delicious and fresh and before we knew it, we had enjoyed over 3 hours chatting in comfort. Views aren't everything!

Stopped at the Coffin Bay hotel for lunch, Fish of the Day was lovely and fresh. I ordered the Deviled Scallop, way too much bacon and sauce for my liking however was very tasty.
We were welcomed by Maz one of the bar staff who offered exceptional customer service ! Would definitely recommend

Stayed at the caravan park and had meals at the pub. Both my wife and I were ever so pleased to be served by the friendliest happy young lady who goes by the name "Bel" . She went out of her way all the time just to please us and nothing seemed to hard for her which was lovely to experience. Her meal recommendations were perfect. Highly recommended pub and Bel you all will enjoy Bel's service with a smile

Over the long weekend we had a fabulous meal at the pub. Even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait too long and all 9 of our guests were happy with their various meals. Staff were very friendly and the management were very attentive.

We had our Beef Steak and Burgundy night at the Coffin Bay Hotel. The food was exceptional with local seafood and gourmet tastings. The hotel was full with others having tea, but managed to present a beautiful 4 course meal. Many thanks to the new managers, Michelle and the team.

Stopped in for lunch. Meals were great value. Big serves for pretty standard pub prices. We both took leftovers home for dinner. Service from the women behind the bar was great. Big smiles and good chat. Would 100% stop in again.

The Pub in the scrub rocks!!! Awesome work team, awesome service, great food, great location. Sit out the front and watch the local kangaroo and emus.

Very disappointed. Was recommended to go here and once arrived no one was available to serve us. Waited and waited. Nice local lady went behind bar to find staff. Young girl came from bistro area, acknowledged we were there, then proceeded back to bistro to serve a couple who just arrived after us. Walked out and ate elsewhere. When you try to support rural towns and they cannot help themselves. Very disappointed and won't return again.

A great dinner with excellent service. Nicky was attending to 2 bars as well as service for the dining room. All at the same time. Such a big smile and happy attitude. She is a gem. Worth a bonus tonight??'?

I just enjoyed a delicious meal, pub menu... delicious. Really enjoyed a lovely evening, friendly service, nice atmosphere and great meal enjoyed by us all.

Hands down the worst dining experience we have ever encountered. Booked the courtesy bus for 5:30 then told 5pm is more convenient time for them to pick us up as it's happy hour which it wasn't as it's only for members. So we asked to join as its free membership and was told that it's pointless as you need to wait for your membership card to arrive before you get discount. Once there we where charged $35 for 4.cans of soft drink and 2 mid strength beers. Ordered pizzas which where not worth $103 for 4 measly pizzas which has extra toppings on some and forgotten toppings on others. Decided to go home on bus and then waited 35 mins to be taken home by a rude lady barmaid who drove that terribly that my 10 year old son asked me if she was drunk while driving. Absolute spoil to the last day in such a beautiful picturesque town of coffin bay.0/10

The whiting was great, the chips disgusting and dark brown, the salad was old and limp but overall all eight meals were not good

Most of our reviews are a five star and said we couldn't give that this evening after what had been a much looked forward to birthday dinner

Not wanting to make a fuss we didn't send our meal back as there was eight of us

The best thing was the bar lady it was wonderful

Sorry that has left a bad taste in our mouth and at nearly midnight we are currently feeling sick

Coughing by management need to monitor meals and improve

The food was lovely. One concern was that our entree was served at the same time as our main meal. It shouldn't be to hard to time the two meals or inform people the entree will arrive at the same time so they can adjust the food orders.
The counter staff were pleasant and welcoming.

The food was just ok, chips were terrible, no oysters available, there was hair in my partners burger, the waitress didn't seem too distressed about the hair though, she just took what was left of the meal away and said "oh well that's no good!". Won't be back there in a hurry.

Over 2 hours wait on a meal that was Bland, dry and tasteless. No indication before ordering on how long food would take (would of gone elsewhere) they said they were busy but they had most of their staff in the pub section serving drinks (took forever if you wanted drinks in the dining section)

Food was wonderful, service even better. Room was clean and checking in was the simplest ever. No sea views but lots of kangaroos on the fields instead! Got to love these hassle free experiences.

The food was very dry and hardly no sauce, the salads were brown and loss of colour, we asked for a parma and got Kirkpatrick and the pasta salad was so bland. Could have dragged my balls through the national park and it still would have been wetter

Had dinner for 8 with kids. Dated decor but food was good as was the service. Kids had standard nuggets and chips and the adults had schnittys. Huge serves, tasted good. Wine list could have been local with a better white range.

Great local Pub, with a warm reception for passers through. Set a block back from the water, The food is done well in a great pub atmosphere.

I stayed the night in the motel that's a part of the pub, it was quiet, clean & tidy. Would definitely stop by again.

Clean room. Meal in restruant was large size but tasty. Friendly staff and locals. Would recommend stay to friends and family. Only downfall was no where to hang clothes

We rang to book apparently the girl couldn't hear my partner but we came at the appointed time and there was no booking grrrrrrr. They still had a spare table, (we booked because it was mother's day and my birthday).
Anyway we then ordered what we thought were 2 entrees, my partner didn't get his, we waited and it didn't come out til we asked about it.........not great.
We got our mains, quite good but then we realised we had been charged a main for the entrees...........we asked about it, there were plenty of excuses saying the number of prawns etc but NO offer of a refund, the so-called main wasn't even on the menu.......be VERY careful if you choose to go here

During our short stay in Coffin Bay we decided on dinner at the local pub would be a good option one of our nights. Unfortunately we were mistaken the extremely over cooked seafood platter at $39 a serve was
more than disappointing in so many ways it should have been a warning when ordering drinks one bar staff said she was over it!! But the next was outstanding disappointing in a small town with only a few options

Booked last min and this was the only place we found at Coffin Bay before new year. Neat clean room for a family for four. Our room had 1 queen and 2 single beds. Had a big fridge with freezer which was very useful. There was a small kitchenette and soap dish soap to wash the dishes. Room had full length window and can often spot kangaroos outside. Not very fancy but neat and clean.
We had to cut the trip short by 1 day due to some health emergency and they happily refunded the money
Iron with stand was provided upon request.

Very slow service. The beef schnitzel burger was below average. The vodka oyster was excellent. Must try that

Perfectly cooked seafood in the fisherman's basket and the chef nailed the squid schnitzel. Very impressed! We will be back!
Also pet friendly, grassed area with tables out the front.

Food was great and the staff was very accommodating even though we came in 5 minutes before closing.

We went for a meal. My wheelchair did not make it over the doorstep of the dining room. The wood has warped. I have been able to negotiate that step many times before. But today it just wouldn't let me movevover that door step. It needs serious attention!

Room was cosy. Meal was excellent steak cook as I like it. Staff very friendly. I recommend a stay over.

Management very helpful and chatty. Nice large room with views and well serviced each day. Unfortunately lacking bench space, and a pity hanging and storage space were non existent. They could have been partway through the process of upgrading?? Pub meals large and tasty. Enjoyed our stay.
