Great pub with friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of vegetarian options on the menu and one of the staff went out of their way to check with the chef if the pastry could be done Vegan. Highly appreciated the chef doing this, excellent food and good vibes.

Went there earlier today for the lamb roast and beef schnitzel with my wife. Fantastic way to start our trip to Tassie.

Bar staff went above and beyond. Very friendly.

Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. Thanks Madi! 😊 The chicken parmigianas were perfect. I love that we had the option of mash and veg or chips and salad. The sticky date pudding was yummy. And the music was fantastic.

But what most impressed me was this brilliant British Pub actually had a zero beer - a Heineken zero ! My favourite. YAY! As an adult who doesn't drink alcohol, you feel like a second class citizen at most venues. It's coke, sprite or a ginger beer if you're lucky. Loads of alcoholic beers, but not ONE zero beer.
So 10/10 to this place. We are from NSW and will definitely come back here!!

Was quite busy had to wait an hour for food. Drinks were sublime, food in the end was okay. My pumpkin was cooked oddly though. Didn't taste that good. Due to lateness of our mains we didn't have time for dessert. Atmosphere and warmth was delightful. An experience worth having but food and the food service could be, and should be, improved.

Arrived here after a pretty horrid day travelling and left in a great mood, reasonably priced, only had the chips but they were great and the highlight for me, the bartender was so kind, I didn't grab his name but thank you! Would Defo recommend and will be back if I'm in the area again

I challenge anyone to find a friendlier publican anywhere in Australia than Al! Came to Launceston for a weekend trip and kept coming back here. The food here is simply outstanding, and plenty of beers, all at good prices.

Food was great, more choice of really British dishes would have been amazing. Staff were professional and welcoming. We have knocked a star off as there was only one dessert on the menu and at 7pm it was marked as N/A. As a British pub, puddings are a must!

Friendly staff and nice decor. Not a great selection of beers on tap. My guiness pie was nice but I would have preferred it to have been made in a ramekin with fluffy flaking pastry on the top. Chips were good and salad had variety. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Cannot speak higher of a group of service staff, generally takes alot to leave review but I saw some pretty abhorrent behavior that would normally be ignored or accepted most locals however the staff on hand saw what was happening for face value and acted accordingly. Highly recommend anyone looking for a Christmas function venue or just somewhere to cater for 5 or more people with high quality service and intuitive attitude towards groups who may not fill the traditional roll. Some of the best service and a solid publican to boot!! Stop by if you get a chance!

Outside is definitely improving. Inside furniture is a little tired, hopefully that is next.

Get onto the bangers and mash _ always excellent.

This is a character full little pub. It has a great atmosphere and the staff seem happy in their work. The food is exactly as you would expect from an English pub. Good hearty meals. The tap beers are plentiful and poured to perfection. Some of the wooden chairs downstairs are a little dodgy, but the upstairs dining booths are great and packed with interesting history. A nice casual pub for family and friends.

Really good experience here. Dropped in for a meal and one of our party ordered a steak blue. He received it medium, said stuff it and started eating. Staff came to see us to ask about the meal, realised that the steak had been cooked wrong and bent over backwards to make it right, even though we would not have complained if left to our own devices. GREAT Service.

Ground floor feels a little bare at this pub, but upstairs nails the British feel to a tee. Worth a visit.

It was late on a Monday night in Launceston where we thought there were no other options. Coming to Cock'n'bull before 9pm was an unexpected win! Real nice food, and the bartender Al had such a great personality. Great place to go!

Great meal, good value and the staff were so friendly. We were asked on 3 occasions by 3 separate staff members if we were happy with our meal...they certainly aim to please. Enjoyed our meal so much a couple of nights ago that we're going back again tonight.

Great little pub though you'd never know from the outside. Free parking (rare in Launceston). Nice craft beers on tap. Friendly and helpful publican. Would get 5 stars if they served food more often.

Staff were nice. Food was good: My calamari had evenly salted chips, a salad with the right about of flavouring and calamari freshly crumbed. On the flipside, my partner had the Premium Bangers & Mash and the thing that creeps in on me was that there was just too much pepper in the mash. Else everything was good.

Enjoyed our meals and the service here on a Wednesday night.. The meals are a great size and the roast pork and crackle was delicious, all other meals on the table were also enjoyed and finished. Very relaxing evening with friends.
