Stopped in Cobram/Barooga for lunch at the sportiest club, they had a great range of sandwiches cakes as well as a range of cooked meals. Great place to relax have a drink or two In a pleasant atmosphere.

What a hidden gem. Doesn't get the recognition that it deserves. Two terrific courses and excellent accommodation and meals
In my opinion, the best value for money along the Murray River. We will be back again!

Fair to say when you're booking a place you've never stayed, you always hope for the best. Can I say that from the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by all the staff we encountered at the golf club and at our accommodation. From there, everything went seamlessly and from all reports, everyone had a great time. The staff were simply incredible, friendly, and always had time for a quick chat too. The food from breakfast to dinner was delicious. The team in the pro shop, including the ground staff, were helpful and friendly, and our accommodation was more than we expected, great rooms!
We have discussed coming back again as the team have certainly left a great impression on us. Thanks again, and look forward to speaking with you in the near future.

My son and I both love the food here and look forward to the roulette game on Tuesday, so we have dinner here every Tuesday, and luckily my name was drawn tonight, so I picked up my son and let him turned to the roulette, at the moment no one stopped me and told me that this is not allowed, after the roulette wheel is stuck on the jackpot, the host told me he have to check the rule, and then you guys told me that the jackpot we switched to does not count, I am confused, if my son is not allowed to turning the roulette, why the host doesn't told me in the first time, And told us it didn't count after my son luckily get the jackpot! ? This confuses and very disappoints me, I don't think we'll be looking forward to this game anymore.

Lovely venue went for lunch Bistro not open during week settle for cafe lunch which was nice but should be on website bistro not open during week and it was school holidays.
Lots of staff around who were not willing to serve me and walked away from counter to talk with other staff one serving bar instead of 3 staff serving
Apart from poor staff attitude we still had a good time and enjoyed facilities.

Just got back from a fantastic weekend away. We played west course on the Friday and old course on Saturday. Both were in great shape and everyone in our group loved it.
The facilities have everything, especially catering for large groups. Dinner on both nights was not only tasty but generous portions.
I could not recommend this place enough. Thanks to everyone at the club for a great weekend.

Great venue with lovely people, course is in prime condition constantly and looked after. Dave on the drinks and food cart is a absolute legend and a ripper set up. Good pies and good prices on beers.
Couldn't talk higher of our time here.

From Kally making booking accom and golf super easy, to the seamless ordering of meals and great sports bars, staying was joyous.
Add on two great courses in excellent condition and top it off with David the Drinks Cart guy, and you have yourself a brilliant weekend!

FOUR DAY FULL ON GOLFING TRIP - Our golfing group went on a four day golfing trip from our homes in Adelaide. We left at 3 am And were playing Murray Downs GC by 9.00am then Cobram- Barooga GC in the afternoon. Next day was Cohuna in the morning and Rich River GC in the afternoon. Next day off to Shepparton GC in the morning and Belvoir GC (Bendigo) in the afternoon. Final day was Stawell in the morning and then the drive home. A great trip playing some fantastic golf courses.
Cobram- Barooga golf course has one of the best (challenging) front 9's we have played. Many strategically placed bunkers on the fairways and surrounding the greens make for accurate Very scenic with lots of trees and water features. The back 9 is open and flat...... The whole course was in excellent condition. Gary and Alison in the Proshop were very welcoming.

courses are great but the attitude we were given in the pro shop was less than welcoming. treated like second class citizens & the most unwelcome you could imaging. been going here on trips for 10 years & I will not be back. other clubs in the area with much better attitudes to their golfers/guests

A versatile multi-facility venue to cater for all ages. Food at the Cafe is delicious, specially the breakfast. Cherry on the top was the staff were super friendly and always keen to make the guests happy.

Beautiful course, green everywhere, week maintained, albeit I'm a below average golfer.

Cobram Barooga GC helped us out when our club was under water from floods.

Was playing the Victorian Mid Amateur championship held on both the Old and West courses. It was a pity that we had thunderstorms on day one, but the course held up well, and dried off pretty quick. The course is in great condition with Santa Ana Couch grass fairways, and bent greens. It is tight and with lots of undulations throughout the golf course, along with some blind tee shots and approaches to greens.
The greens are firm and quick at time of my game. If you are visiting the area, I would highly recommend a visit to stay and play. The staff in the restaurant and proshop are very friendly and helpful.

Also I love the mini golf complex that was built. It's a great course for the whole family. There is also great undercover area as well around the mini golf course.

PGA tournament Course, 36 Hole championship course, 18 Hole Mini Golf, 4 Multi-Sport Simulators. Pokies, Bars, Dinning rooms, TAB.

Attended this course for a total of 3 days as part of an annual golf trip. Couldn't fault either course!
Was in great condition and had the right mix of challenge for the experienced and for those just there for a bit of fun.
Will be returning again!

Love this course. Things have a bit changed with the new club house but still a great course.

Sorry the club house has closed. More convenient for meals and drinks after a game.

First of all, courses are amazing 5 stars. We organised a golf trip here 6 weeks in advance. We travelled up to barooga on the Friday night and were informed our tee time had been changed to 3 hours earlier, ok thats fine! We went to the pro shop early Saturday morning only to find out that the carts we booked were not available for us now! Tried sorting this out with the pro in the pro shop and could not believe how rude we were spoken too. Even if he could of helped us he was not going too. Spoke to a lot of members over our trip and everyone of them all said it is a joke how the club is ran. Could be a lot better very disappointing and will not be going back!

Not sure of what is good or bad here. cause I only have been to two difference course. Nice bloke at the shop and I asked cleaner where I should go to play golf and he was amazingly pleasant that he came out and showed me where I should head to. He was super kind and I really appreciate him.
