Restaurant quality food with the option of a lovely indoor dining area or a more relaxed alfresco experience outside. Absolutely beautiful food with a fantastic gluten free menu. This is actually my favourite place to dine in the New England area. The meals are brought out quickly, and service is fantastic. Highly recommended!

Food was spectacular!! We ate here both nights because the menu was amazing. It catered for all tastes and by far outdid any pub in Sydney for quality, size and deliciousness! Charlie the manager was fantastic and knows how to look after customers. All the staff were lovely and professional, special shout out to Kira for having some laughs with us!

Great food, large portions, cooked exactly how you want. Dessert menu was spot on too. I had the surf and turf with veg, steak was cooked perfectly, prawns were large and flavoursome. Only issue I could find was I went to the bar and brought a lemonade and watched as the girl poured it from a $1.20 coles lemonade bottle, added ice, a small slice of lemonade and promptly charged me $4.50, seriously? Otherwise couldn't fault the place.

Pros:
- Nice atmosphere
- Clean toilets
- Nice menu items

Cons:
- Clueless wait staff
- Slow service of food
- Poor service of drinks requested
- Food was luke warm at best
- $13.50 for a jug of Coles branded lemonade

This pub was highly recommended to us by the Info Centre in Armidale as we head towards Tamworth. We arrived 1.15pm and ordered shortly thereafter. It was 1.50pm when the kids meals arrived. Thinking ours were following shortly, we had to wait until 2pm for ours and only got them when my husband chased down a wait staff and asked where our meals were! The pub wasn't at all busy - a few tables with patrons but more empty tables than not. We ordered two kids meals - both were chicken strips. Us adults ordered the steak ciabatta. When they arrived, the chicken for the kids was luke warm at best, the steak in our ciabatta was cold. The ciabatta was literally just half of a ciabatta roll to make an open sandwich. Why they couldn't include the other half of the ciabatta roll I have no idea!

With the kids meals, a poppa and ice cream is included. We asked three times for the poppa while we waited for our meals. The wait staff member we spoke to was completely clueless that the kids meals included a poppa and ice cream. After the third time, they finally arrived... but after the food arrived!

Then the ice cream. They were sludgy as had been kept in the fridge. My husband at this point was annoyed. He went to the bar and spoke to Daniel who seemed like he didn't care and passed us onto a kitchen staff member. It was confirmed that the ice cream had been kept in the fridge next to the poppas in the bar area. Seriously... why keep a frozen item in the fridge?! New ice cream was retrieved from the kitchen and these were frozen thank goodness.

Finally, let me tell you about the jug of lemonade my husband ordered. It cost $13.50 for this. The guy behind the bar grabbed a 1.25L bottle of Coles branded lemonade (valued at $1.10) and poured it into the jug right right in front of my husband. OMG! Not even Sprite! We had the SAME Coles branded lemonade in the car that we could've brought in! At least it was cold from the fridge. Husband was gobsmacked... when he paid for the jug separately from the food, we were charged credit card surcharge on top! This is completely unbelievable.

Come here again? We are not locals and were travelling through. Honestly, the other cafes in town are likely to be better than here. If we stop in Uralla again, we will go there and not to this pub!

Stopped over for dinner, busy little pub the only place to grab a meal and it was packed, it seemed everyone from town was in and it was a good feeling

All the customers were nice and friendly, family primates pub

We couldn't get a table inside and it was just a little cold outside so we decided to grab takeaway and eat back were we were staying.

Easy to order from the menu

We got 2 kids hotdog meals and a parmigiana, so we waited around for our order. Not after I saw other tables getting their food first after ordering after us I had to go and ask for an update. 30 minutes and we headed off.

Just your average pub meals, kids just happy with their ice cream as part of the kids meal.

Good place to go and have a drink and meal and see everyone in town

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Awesome mulled wine. They definitely did not use the cheapest red they could find, and the spice blend was perfect. The bistro meals were better than some hatted big city restaurants I have been to. We had the "house specialities". The back strap and pork chop. Both cooked to perfection. The dessert selection was decadent, rolled pav's, Broulee, and locally made Petit Fours. Love this pub and food. Well done, team. Sorry, no lamb photo. The smell and presentation were devine. We tucked into it and realised we should have taken a photo.

Basic motel rooms at $85 a single room but bathrooms are very old. We were all on top floor opposite the drive thru bottleshop. Beds a little saggy where everyone sits on bed edge.
Pub is popular and with friendly staff, but our chicken schnitzels and chicken parmigiana were rubbery. We surmised the chicken had been parbroiled and then crumbed and fried.

A great place to go for a meal, a wonderful menu including a wide variety of gluten free & vegetarian options. Indoor & outdoor seating & in winter a beautiful warm open fireplace. Friendly staff, delicious food & lovely atmosphere.

Dined for dinner. I had 3 crumbed lamb cutlets with mash & veges. It was very tasty.
The menu had lots of great sounding food, seems like a pub that likes to serve more upmarket/gastro pub type food.
Service friendly. Large place with tables inside & outside. Would definitely return if I was ever visiting the area again.

It's a lovely space in the dining area and we really enjoyed our meals. I would recommend stopping in here when visiting Uralla. They have alot of Gluten Free options too, and this was a nice surprise for a family member dining with us.

We dine at the Top Pub every week. The staff are excellent and probably the best pub food I have experienced.
My extended family happened to be at the pub for dinner two weeks ago when there was a wedding on.
Our meal did take a long time but the staff were very apologetic and sent bowls of chips to tide us over.
I agree they might have told people who booked that a function was on but we would have gone anyway.
Who would have thought booking a wedding outside at the end of winter/beginning of spring in New England might result in less than ideal situation?
The wedding party were a group of the most obnoxious, rude, tight people I have ever seen.
The abuse of the staff and language belonged in a football dressing shed.
The comments made to the owner by the groom about the passing of her husband were unacceptable.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Please don't breed. The world doesn't need more people like you.

Excellent service and quality food! Passed by for lunch and had a lamb back strap that was perfectly cooked, super tender and well presented. Tho the lamb was bit pricey $40 for pub lunch but worth a try! The chicken palmy was so crunchy and moist, perfect to go with local beer.

The Lamb back stap was sensational and perfectly cooked to my requirements There is a good range on the menu from standard pub fare through to restaurant style dishes and some fabulous daily specials. Well worth a visit and this is also a destination dining experience

I was riding home the other day and pulled into the Top Pub in Uralla for a counter meal. Wow I've eaten in restaurants all over the world and this pub food is fantastic. I'm that impressed I'm taking a few friends back there for a sleepover just to try more food. The restaurant and bar have a lovely atmosphere and the outdoor dining experience was beautiful and the staff couldn't be more friendly. When you're leaving try one of the world famous home made pies straight across the road. It's also a short ride to the Ebor falls.

Food was fantastic the 2 nights we stayed, but the accommodation could of been better, ok its $55 a night but I expect to have the basics in place, light did not work in my bathroom, and being winter I expected a nice hot shower. Was lucky to get it luke warm. This was the same for 2 of my other colleagues.
This was the same for the next night as well, one the colleagues said he'll try after dinner, which was 9.30, still no hot water.

Lovely and friendly staff. Nice range of beers on tap. Huge range on the menu, not just the standard pub-grub.
I sat next to the open fire, was so lovely and warm.

Sensational tucker. Had the chicken schnitzel, which is surely the barometer by which to measure a pub kitchen by. It was fantastic. Place was packed in a rainy Saturday, with reservations and COVID protocols all being met. Staff found a table for us and we had an awesome time. Kids menu is above average too, which counts for a lot, includes hot dogs and party pies as options, and are inclusive of a drink and ice cream.

Bravo.

What a fantastic pub,The outdoor dining area is beautiful and has a small area for the Kiddies to play in away from other diners. The staff were friendly and efficient with the meals being served in a timely manner considering how busy they were, we did have a minor issue with the desserts they took a very long time but personally don't care as my main, the lamb back strap was so good it more than made up for that 10 fold. Wow I don't think I have had a better pub meal anywhere and definitely would put a few restaurants to shame. Thanks for a lovely evening

Fair prices for a small town's pub. Small range of the variety of wine I like, but reasonable range of other varietals. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Great food
