Public bar has the old classic English/Irish pub feel to it. Bit on the darker side, though windows everywhere. Warm colurs and soft carpet - which dampens noise.
If you like the 'feel' of a pub where you can have a conversation without having to shout at one another, this is a pretty good place.

Good casual pub. I do find it a bit noisy, but I could be showing my age. Not sure what they are thinking with the piano man on Saturday nights; from what I can see people are more likely to leave than come for that.

Jeff the bouncer on the door with the grey beard absolutely horrible and also inappropriate with girls at the door and also pushed me for asking a question, (ma) (female bouncer) absolutely lovely bouncer. People like Jeff shouldn't be working with the public absolutely shocking behaviour from him tonight and let coach and horses down massively

I had my 40th at this fabulous venue. From start to finish the entire staff were amazing. Martin made the planning so effortless and was extremely accommodating to my meticulous attention to detail. The catering was so delicious and again Golam made the process so easy. On the night ALL the staff were so pleasant and professional which all lead to me having one of the best birthdays ever. Thank you Coach and Horses, myself and my guests all thought it to be a spectacular event that we will never forget.

Anyone who posts a bad review about this place usually were kicked out for being too drunk, I have been coming here for years now and have yet to have a bad experience, the bar staff are friendly and talkative, the food is great and they give good portion sizes for the price, the alcohol selection is very good, recently they're even started selling asashi on tap, not to mention the prices on booze are very reasonable. I lost my keys in this pub about a year ago and they had kept it behind the bar for me until I could come and pick it up. Love these guys. The bouncers are reasonable, ( they act like real people ) and the atmosphere is perfect. The bar doesn't try to become something its not but, they play onto the local pub vibe perfectly, if you're in the area, it's definetly worth a visit

I'm not from randwick but was looking for a few quiet drinks and stumbled across this place. You want a chilled, laid back, neighbourhood pub? This is THE PLACE. Good prices, great vibes, not trying to be anything better than they are. Super welcoming of all even if you're not local. Lots of sports, TAB, friendly staff. Food looks great and there's a great terrace outdoors upstairs

Pleasant venue however the atmosphere was ruined by the bouncers and bar staff. We came in a group and the bar staff looked
for every opportunity to refuse entry and remove customers. One bloke was removed for doing his laces which was apparently being too drunk. I would go for a pint but anything more there's better venues near by.

A must-go for drinks and karaoke on Friday evenings! Great vibes and welcoming atmosphere whether with friends or solo if you're after singing the night away. Nathan, Marty and the team were very warm and quick in booking a date during the Xmas/NY break with spacious area upstairs and cosy beer garden for those wanting a quieter spot.

Very much a busy locals Sports bar , particularly horse racing. A large premises with friendly staff and variety of beers... bit of a happy hour 5+. Smoking area too. Good menu and food portions seen but not tried...

Been coming to this pub for a few years now.
But on Melbourne Cup, the beers tasted weird and had some kind of odour.
Need to clean the beer lines probably.

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday - other patrons were friendly, staff were efficient.
The beef and Guinness pie was excellent and my partner was happy with his roast of the day. No complaints.

$8 pint of guinnes happy hour. Otherwise, $11. The food is great. I had an Irish beef stew, and it was better than expected. Chips are good too. It is not the most Irish vibe pub I have gone to in Sydney, but it is OK, especially during the happy hour for an early drink. It's one of the best places around, anyway.

Pork ribs were fantastic. Curry sauce on chips was overly sweet and tasted like it came from a jar of pataks. I was the only person in there eating and the food buzzer didn't work. 3 guys standing around behind counter ended up yelling over to me to come and collect my food, so who knows how long it had been sitting on the pass. Why one of them couldn't' have run it out to me, shows a severe lack of customer service.

Good priced beer. Happy hour 5_7pm. Specials on lunches and daily food days ie steak day etc. Friendly staff. Tab and Keno.

Had the rump steak in the bistro, best steak I've had in ages really tender

Trivia on Wednesday was fun. Very friendly staff which was refreshing.

The meals at the Coach and Horses Hotel are great value. The portions are substantial and most of our food was extremely tasty. The mash was the only thing that could have been better as it was bland. A highlight was the Irish cheesy chips, curry sauce and chicken which was delicious.

Only recently discovered this place and couldn't be happier with it. Great joint for a few late night beers. Staff and security very friendly. Highly recommended.

I go there all the time and have there Steak and chips and salad ...the steaks are amazing...but last time i went i got a really tough bit of steak ..i always have Medium Rare..but this piece was..like an old piece of cow ...in the end there was so much sinue.( Steak grizzle) through my steak that my knife couldn't cut it ..i ended up not eating it... was not IMPRESSED.!!!!!@....otherwise they would have got higher stars ....Im a local at Randwick
