Nice place but, omgoodness what a shocker for placing orders. Not only does the nice lady behind takes our order, she has to go make the drinks!!
Was better the other way where you order food and the then go order drinks.
Will not darken this doorstep again.

Stopped by tonight without a booking and staff were happy to have us and showed us to tables that we could use.
The staff were all great and the food was fantastic I had the bangers and mash while my wife had the chicken parmi that she couldn't finish as it was a very decent size and staff were happy to hand us a takeaway container.
Will definitely heading back again.

**Disappointing Experience with Poor Service**

I visited Christies Beach hotel last night with a friend who brought her dog along. We planned to sit outside, so I asked one of the staff if it was okay to have the dog with us in the outdoor decking area. The staff member said yes, so we chose a spot and I went inside to order food. I also requested a container and some water for the dog, but then I was suddenly told that dogs weren't allowed on the decking after all, and we would have to leave.

As we were getting ready to go, another staff member came out and told us we could stay in the side lawn area, which is also the smoking area, but we'd have to fetch the food ourselves because they couldn't bring it to us. This was inconvenient but better than finding another place, so I went back inside to place our order.

I was told the food would take 25-30 minutes, but when I returned to the counter after 30 minutes, they told me to wait another 15 minutes. When I asked if they could bring the food out to us to avoid multiple trips, I was initially refused, with the explanation that they had already made an exception by letting us stay with the dog. After some back-and-forth, another staff member agreed to bring the food to us.

The wait times were incredibly long - 50 minutes for wings and over an hour for a steak and pizza. The overall experience was frustrating, with poor communication and service throughout the evening. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for a smooth dining experience, especially if you have a pet with you.

I live walking distance from here and have frequented the pub on many occasions over the past 6 years. It's taken me a long time to get to this point however I must say the food is a constant disappointment. Last night pork belly on the specials was so dry, and the crackling was rubbery. A table close to us had their steak refunded. The best meal I've had from here used to be the chicken burgers from 6 years ago. The chefs need to go visit another pub and see what good food tastes like, because what is been served up is not worth the 5 minute walk or the cost.
Will try again in 6 months in the hope my local serves great food but not holding my breath.

Had a function last night in their function room. I have to say I love the renovations. The serving staff were so friendly. Everyone loved the food. I had the porterhouse steak and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've had. The chef nailed the cook of medium rare and the slightly smokey char was amazing. I do wish that a steak of that quality came with different sides that the pub standard is a small salad and chips. It deserves a garlic mash and veggies.
Will definitely be going there again real soon.
