Some fancy meals for a club but my wagu burger was excellent if a bit pricey at $21. I had j7st as good a burger at heddongreta pub for $14.

Meal - roast pork and veg: overpriced, pork (yuck) very tough, pumpkin overcooked, no baked potatoes! Did not enjoy it at all.

Coffee ... not nice, weak. Slice was falling apart, icecream melted. Young girl untrained.

I had a chicken schnitzel which is probably the most popular go to choice on any club menu bur then there are chicken schnitzels and then there is chicken schnitzel.
Club Charlestown js up there with the best. Delicious and so was the pepper sauce and parmesan on the salad. Yum.
I also love the live music. Gen-x was playing the Friday l was there. Excellent night a great club.

Visited the club on Saturday & the place was packed as the State Bowling Championships we being held there.
Even so, our food orders were out within a very reasonable time and all were delicious.
The pan fried prawns were delicious as were the house crumbed chicken schnitzels.
We hadn't been there for quite a while but it it is still great food plus the drinks are also reasonably priced.

Pleasant staff, undercover parking, clean toilets... the most important part for us: tasty meals that don't cost a bomb! I really enjoyed the crispy skin barramundi with prawns, bacon, brussells sprouts, pea puree & veg. Not too big, not too small, just right for lunch. Mum's surplus chippies were good too!

The light fittings were nice, but too much grey in interior decorating doesn't quite do it justice.

A family affair for us in April last month was very disappointing, we were horrified at the huge cost of meals, who pays $48 for 3 average lamb cutlets with crinkle cut chips at a bowling club..
No way, I'd rather eat a better and cheaper feed at Swansea RSL with a beautiful view?

Nice renovated venue. Extremely large and open planned. Could easily stumble a few kilometres just walking back and forth from the bar. Food is exorbitantly overpriced with subpar quality. Pool tables are average. 3 stars

I'll start with the barramundi ($34 members price)
5cm sq portion dryer then Jehovah's Witness' birthday party
The poor fish was begging for a drink of water.
The kids meal ($13)
McCain's minni round ham and cheese pizza cut into quarters
And burnt ??"?
The "Angus ' Burger ($24) crumbling patth made from Sausage mince.
I've been coming here for over a decade and the last 12 months I leave disappointed.
The presentation of the food is great but the taste is always lacking.

Great food, lots of nice areas to kick back and enjoy the company you're in!

Had our work Christmas party here. Free barefoot bowling, drinks on the green, dinner after.

There was a bit of broken glass on the green (not by us) so I recommend soft flats rather than barefoot but all in all a great evening!

Excellent huge meals, friendly welcoming staff.

The food was poor when we went on Saturday night 17/09/2022. The steak ordered as medium to well done came out as rare. The bowl of chips were cold and could not be eaten. The other meal that was ordered was given to us first and the rest of the order we had to wait. Really poor food and service

Dear Diary...where can I begin to describe my food adventure at Club Charlestown.
Disappointing is barely even descriptive enough to provide an overview of this pubs fare. A simple schnitzel destroyed by the worst tasting out of a box gravy I have ever tasted. It was reminiscent of burnt Vegemite strained through a dirty sock and made whatever happen to be in contact with it completely inedible. I'm not sure where the "chef" at this venue got his certificate to state he could cook or even if they bothered to ask when they let him loose in the kitchen.

Whoever was on the fryer did ok with everything the appropriate colour but oh my dear lord help me try and forget that gravy.

The calamari was tasteless and similarly out of a box, probably alongside the gravy and I have serious doubts as to whether it was even a creature of the sea at one point. The tartare sauce which I thought might save the tasteless circles of horror did not, it too tasted like a mayonnaise bath with no flavour.

I then went on to attempt a third dish, because, well...I was hungry and really quite desperate.

Satay skewers....would they be the hero? You know what, to my greatest surprise! They weren't. Not even a little bit. I think the only spice that cook knows how to wield is chilli powder and the fact he dried the ever loving life out of those poor small skewers didn't add any joy to it either.

So, that being said, although it pains me to say, maccas is a better option than the food here. Maybe eat there first.

A very spacious place, good for a drink and a bite to eat, my first time here and the service was excellent.

2nd meal that I've had there and very mediocre. $27 for salt and pepper squid . Over cooked deep fried and no spice in the dressing with cold noodles. Supposed to be large ,I'd hate to see the small size.
So sick of places like this serving up rubbish food.

I ordered a Ceasar salad and the presentation was nothing special but the worst of it, it tasted like fish really had. The worst Ceasar salad I've ever had. It still makes me sick when I think about it. ALSO.... My daughter had snitz chips & salad, just loved that gravy all over the salad..??

Meals are never really hot and chips are NEVER hot. Have complained before but nothing changes. $34 BEFF SCALLOPINI is not very nice when it is just warm.

Great place for community meetings

The pub food is beyond excellent. Even when getting take away during lockdown the quality is great. Recently renovated, can't wait to get back in there when it's safe.

Had my grandson 1st birthday party there today, staff wonderful and very helpful, food was brilliant, highly recommended

Stopped for a couple and then grabbed the prawn and pepperoni pizza to take home this evening... Absolutely brilliant... 5/5... Would definitely have again

Nice club but both our meals were cold.

Great place to catch up with my family and my gorgeous grandchildren. The Courtyard Area and Barefoot Bowls were fantastic entertainment for the children. The staff are always kind and considerate and there was a lovely selection of food for young and old. Well done Club Charlestown your Courtyard Area is fantastic.

An enjoyable evening was had to celebrate a dear friends 80th Birthday. The meal was excellent & well priced, staff were courteous & friendly. Unfortunately the band that was playing at the venue was horrendous, far to loud & extremely untalented in their so called presentation. Look forward to visiting Club Charlestown again, but not if that group of musicians were playing.

Bright & airy club with a great view of the sunset.We enjoyed a delicious meal picked from a great menu.

This club wants everyone to have fun. Large screens. Great food, good service, and everything for children.

Dinner tonight was excellent. The club has improved their facilities over the last few years and is really very good.
