Went in for lunch with my wife while having car serviced. There was not enough staff so service wasn't great. The dining area is quite small so it seemed busy even though it wasn't, but it was noisy. Was told there was a wait on the food of 45 minutes, we waited 35, not too bad, however the food was cold. I had the Dolphin Burger and my wife had the S+P Calamari. The burger was not worth the price or the wait. When clearing out plates we informed Rosalyn the supervisor of this and she was very apologetic and brought us a round of drinks, she was the shinning light in an ordinary experience. All in all not overly impressed. I know staff can ring in sick but I think the rostering could have been better.

Took our girls out for dinner, the food was super quick, even with a busy restaurant, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The chips were fresh and crunchy and soft on the inside and the salad was also delicious. Best meal out for the family. The kids love the children's play area. The team are doing an amazing job. Love coming to our local!

First time at the Captain Cook Tavern, popped in for a quick meal with my daughter. We ordered the 500g rump with mash and veges and a Caesar Salad with chicken. It's very hard to get the perfect med rare, well the Chef nailed it. Both meals were great. The service was excellent and very friendly staff to boot.

The on table ordering system doesn't work very well. We ordered drinks in the bistro, but no one was there to serve us, which led to a 15-minute wait. We had to go to the bar 8n the next room to ask if someone could serve us. The service in the bistro area was almost non-existent.

The food was quite ordinary at best. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was a little bigger than a chicken nugget. This was the smallest chicken schnitzel i have ever seen. The table next to us got much larger schnitzels. The creamy garlic sause was watery and had no flavour.

The Dolphins burger was very tasty and a good size.

Local one for us. Food is good honest pub food at a reasonable price.
Can be a bit noisy when a lot of people are dining.
Staff do look after you though.
Kitchen is reasonable when it comes to meal requests.
