Came here on a Monday evening with a friend as this place is halfway between where we both live. It's honestly everything you could want in a local pub. Cheap beers, good atmosphere (even when it's empty), 80s rock playing in the background, and the bartender (she could be the boss but I'm not sure) took me back to a time that doesn't exist any more. She was exceptionally warm, brought some complimentary chips around, kept our beers full and was just a genuinely lovely person. It's hard for me to give this place any less than 5 stars just because of that experience.

Horrible staff blonde lady at the bar was extremely rude and pulled faces when asked about different beers, horrible experience, left without ordering food because staff was so unwelcoming 0/10 if I could give negative I would. Save yourself and DO NOT GO THERE!

Good place to go for a beer before the footy. Cool old skool pub with good friendly service. Food was funny at best. Got the chicken and prawn stack and it sounded good.
Basically 1 dried out chicken tenderloin with 3 frozen prawns on top. Garlic sauce was good luckily so I could drown my chips in it too get my hunger levels down a little bit. Wouldn't eat there again

Engineer wouldn't turn up the fold backs. Still haven't been paid for a gig we played here in 2018 - will be consulting the ombudsman.

I personal would not recommend this place from an experience with the rude bar staff on saturday.. u lost buisness from 8 order men who came for lunch and a drink before the football game over the road.. telling us we had to all first finish our drinks before they would serve us again.. last time u will see us.. the place to me looks like a hole..

The worst pub in Sydney
Kitchen doesnt serve all the food and will ask you to change the order after 40 mins wait.
Staff walking round questioning you if you do not buy enough alcohol with your meal.
Seriously gross.

Amazing place! Food was dam good and beer was amazing! Staffs are gentle and friendly. Loved the place and would definitely back again.

Once great pre and post sporting venue, but since they dropped the Cook, I dropped them. The last few times we went they were out of key beverages or just sloppy with service. Just like we can't change the score of a match, we can't rewrite our history. Sadly management are learning after you go woke, you quickly go broke.

Drinking here before a A league game. Good service however they ran out of a few of the mixers including coke which was a bit of a problem. Probably best to stock up before Melbourne Victory fans come to town next time.

WOW, it's been years since I've been back to this place and how amazing is it now. Staff were super friendly and served you straight away ??'?. Not only that, ran in to Legend Steven Bradbury - Australia's first winter gold medalist and enjoyed his Last Man Standing beer which is on tap.

Trendy, renovated pub with cool beer garden underneath some great old trees. Gets busy around event time but great atmosphere.

My boyfriend got my dinner order wrong and the team at Captain Cook still brought out the right meal for me on the house and wouldn't let us fix them up the difference! Super friendly team, great fit out - would highly recommend ?

We love this place. It's a great local with good beer, service and food. The inside has been beautifully redone by the new owners and is great for a gathering while the outside patio is perfect for people-watching and a casual drink. They have lunch and dinner specials.

Had a birthday lunch here and it was lovely. Food for all dietary requirements and was all delicious! Good value for money too! Good selection of wine and beer. Good atmosphere and staff were great.

It was amazing celebrating my birthday here on the weekend, they managed to fit us in last minute, and surprised us with the tastiest shots and cake for me. The food here was really tasty. The owner is an absolute legend- really impressed with the service .

A pint of Feral IPA and some excellent salt and pepper squid (humanely caught in SA) with some brilliant Chilli oil! A great Sunday lunch!
