We had lunch there today & the food was great. A special thank you to Tom our waiter who went way above with his service, smile and friendliness and catered to whatever we needed. We really appreciated him. It's not always a good experience with young staff, however today was so much different. Thank you Tom.

We had dinner there tonight, all ordered the Wednesday specials, they were good. Service was great. A lovely person called Pauline genuinely checked whether we were enjoying our meals, and swapped out a lamb meatballs pizza that was overdone for another one that was cooked perfectly. Our lasagnas were a bit dry with too much cheese, but still quite tasty. And unfortunately one of the salt shakers exploded over my friends risotto.

Had a amazing time the food was so yummy, I had the beef cheeks and mash and my friend also had the prawn ravioli, both were amazing, the staff were so kind and really grate at there job, thank you for a lovely day.

Brightwater Hotel Functions team were friendly, helpful and efficient and our function ran very smoothly. The Pontoon Deck was a great location for gathering and the staff were A+. Food at Brightwater is always delicious. I highly recommend holding your next party or function at Brightwater Hotel.

Took mum and dad for lunch last week. The food selection is always more interesting than the standard pub or club fare. We booked and were shown our table very quickly. Getting served was a bit of an issue to catch someone's eye but the staff are friendly. Mum ordered the French Schnitzel which comes with chips and slaw but you can change to mash and veg for $4.. seems a bit rich to add $4 for this when you already paying upper end price for the meal. Otherwise everything is great and I would recommend. Just worth the managers remembering we are in a cost of living crisis, dont squeeze the customer

Our group regularly goes to the Brightwater Hotel. Yesterday we had our Christmas Lunch there and it was, as usual, above and beyond. John and Pauline are simply the best. Thank you for your wonderful service during 2023. See you again in 2024.

Great view, lovely bartenders but the service was slow. I ordered a cocktail with the QR code, waited 30 minutes and nothing? There were only 2 other tables at the time, a quite Monday night.

I walked over to the bar and it was sitting there, the ice was a bit melted by then. It was nice, nevertheless although a bit disappointing about the wait.

I ordered at the counter as I didn't want to wait again and my food came quickly but the steak was a little overdone. A little more attention to detail would would help with the service side of things. I let the staff know about the steak and they apologised for the inconvenience.

Overall I think there is great potential for the restaurant, yet lacking in execution for the service.

Amazing venue! Its my local which I definitely go weekly! The food is incredible! But most of all the service is out of this world good!

Bought an expensive steak. Asked for rare. That was fine. But could hardly cut it. Was tough as. I had 2 bites. An expensive dog meal 2night. Wouldn't go back again

Lovely birthday and anniversary celebration tonight. The staff were attentive , friendly and so efficient. Our meals were delicious and where we were seated was lovely and quiet for us to enjoy our double celebration. A big shout out to Pauline who looked after us and is a valuable new staff member for Brightwater Tavern. Thanks for a great evening.

20 of us had lunch there on Saturday 27th May. It is not easy to please everyone in a group of 20 but everyone commented how delicious the food was. Food excellent, yummy, delicious and not expensive. They have a Seniors Menu too. Staff lovely, efficient, courteous. John, the Manager, lovely man and should be proud of his crew. Great view looking out onto the water. You can sit inside or outside on the verandah.

Parking is underground and there is wheelchair access

Today we celebrated our son's and daughter-in-laws wedding in the function room at the hotel with 20 guests. Nikki and all the staff were exceptional in looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble. We are so appreciative that you made our sons day so special. Our guests picked from the menu and the food came so quickly. Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved.

The location is spot on and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. A great pub menu and wonderful selection of beers and other drinks. It's a casual and relaxed setting by the water. The hard working floor manager John is always busy ensuring service is spot on. Congratulations to all the staff for creating such a friendly and happy culture. Highly recommended.

Ordered two separate calamari lunches on 7th Sept. Cheap something imitation. I was told it was calamari. Tasted nothing like calamari. Make your own mind up?

We had another lovely experience yesterday having lunch at Brightwater Tavern. We were greeted by John who was bright & happy & looked after us perfectly. The food was absolutely delicious & served in a timely manner. Thankyou for such a lovely dining experience!!

Grab your fambam for lunch and order from menu that boasts something for everybody, from an incredible snitty burger & steak sanger to mushroom risotto & quinoa salad.

The kids enjoyed the park which was just next door, whilst the bigger kids chatted over some cold tap beers and watched the day fade away lakeside.

Great service and clearly a locals favourite going by the turnout.

Came here for dinner with some friends to celebrate a very special Day. Staff was great , they took good care of us and helped us in every way. Location is fantastic as well as the food! Probably the best pub in all the Sunshine Coast! Highly recommend!

Nice meal, well presented and not too expensive. So many pubs and taverns are now charging as much as a good restaurant.
Enjoyed a lovely salmon dish and the others enjoyed their selections as well.

A great pub on the lake at Brightwater so clean an bright with a great atmosphere. Good deck bistro and kids room very kid friendly. Staff are so attentive and friendly. Fantastic selection for drinks. Seniors and kids menu and lunch menu $15.. you might think only 4 stars after saying such good things but I had the panko crumbed fish and chips and it was awful. Dry frozen fillets with average chips and a rocket salad. Other meals that came out from the kitchen looked good but I couldn't even eat mine. John loved his meal I have maybe just ordered the wrong thing but when it said panko fillets I thought they may have been fresh

Great family pub! Needed a quick meal while staying in the area for the weekend. Wanted to go with typical hotel fare and had the parmegena. I had the French variety with hollandaise and Avocado with bacon. Very nice! That washed down with a classic Indian Pale Ale and I was a happy camper.

Great location overlooking the water. Always great food and amazing customer service. One of my favorites!

This was my first time eating here and it won't be my last. 4 adults and 2 kids had dinner Sunday night. Kids eat free on Sundays, so that's fantastic!
We had a minor issue with our order and someone (maybe the manager) came to our table and sorted it out promptly and without any drama.
The only food complaint I have is definitely a complaint you wouldn't get elsewhere, there was actually too much chicken and not enough pasta in my meal. Just kidding, but there was so much in the dish, it was delicious!

My real complaint and why I didn't give 5 stars is because we asked for no ice in our drinks, but we were told that all drinks have to have ice. Never have I ever been forced to have ice in a drink. Especially a Canadian Club.

I recently called into this Hotel for a Coffee and I have to say it was the worst Coffee I have ever had. I ordered a Long Black, it came in a tall Glass Mug and you could see through it, it was like a single shot with hot water added and had no Coffee cream at all on the top. The blend was disgusting and I drank about a quarter before leaving the rest. Sadly I have to say Bunnings make a better Coffee. The Staff were friendly and I have no complaint except after ordering the Long Black he asked if I wanted cream Obviously you still need a lot of work in this area. You have a Great clean Hotel in a great location but if you care about great service I suggest an upgrade is needed in this area. But having seen a review where someone asked why is the Hotel expensive? and getting a response of " because it's kinda swanky" I don't have much faith in you doing anything about it.

Visited on Sat 13th March for lunch and had most amazing pumpkin and roast beetroot salad with walnuts. Will most definitely order this again it was the best lunch I have had in a long time. Thank you. My partner had frenchy schnitzel and he was also full of praise.

Great it is but have too change my stars as they always used to served food everyday and now it's change. I asked if cook needs time off to save money for the business. It's amazing how much the business change. I'm still coming not impress with serving time for food.

Edit: came back a 2nd time and was told i had to have my ginger beer served with ice. Coudnt get it without. To be honest felt like the bar staff were ripping me off to save the extra ginger beer.

Went for a meal here yesterday for a friends 40th birthday. There was one absolutely lovely young girl who was taking our drink orders and we thanked her for being so lovely, the other 2 female staff were so rude that we will never go back. Itu2019s not hard to be friendly! nExtremely disappointing.

Sunday lunch at the Brightwater was wonderful, the new Rice bowl salad was excellent and the home made Kimchi to die for. The Rump steak as usual was excellent. Compliments to the Chef .

Stunning location. Friendly staff and an amazing menu with loads of options. Food was very good, supurbly presented and very fresh ingredients used. A lovely meal had by all. Good prices too.

Nice food. Cool inside. Great outlook
