We stayed at the Bowral Hotel for a couple nights recently for a friend's wedding. Location was perfect - lots of great cafes nearby. Room was newly renovated, clean and tidy. We didn't plan to be there much so it was perfect place to shower and sleep. Service was welcoming when we checked in but didn't have any other interaction with any staff the rest of our time there.

Only thing we would recommend they sort out is the door to access the rooms on top of the hotel - every time it's opened it slams shut loudly.

Horrible from start to finish. When we arrived they could not find our original room key so put us in a big room on top of hotel.
Very big room but dirty. Someone used the toilet before we came in and did not flush it. Coffee stains at the coffee station that was not cleaned - clearly someone checked out and they did not clean before new guest arrived. Extra bedding is stored in a cupboard full of dust.
10pm the music was so loud in our room that it felt like people were partying inside our room. Upon investigating we realised there is no wall closing off the rooms from the hotel but just a sheet. Walked down to ask for another room and its a bunch of kids operating everything. We managed to move rooms and stayed at the side away from the motel but the floor was dirty and full of dust and the sheets had stains on it.

We stayed overnight on a Wednesday on the rooms just off sites from the hotel. The rooms were a little smaller than expected aand the wheels on the beds were a little annoying, but was very clean and lovely. We went for dinner at the hotel and staff couldn't do enough for us, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
They were beyond helpful.
Great location, food was fantastic and very big sizers.

Bed was very uncomfortable, it must be very old, as it has a dip in it, so you roll off. Room not clean when i walked in there was rubbish on the floor.
Location great, bathroom tidy, but a bit over priced for what you get.

Nice modern renovated room, good bed, nice staff and food pretty good.
But stayed on Saturday night and it was an absolute nightmare.
Not advised there was a nightclub downstairs blaring music until 2am. It was like you were down there it was thumping that loud, not to mention the signing and loud screams from the patrons.
So we're not talking background noise, we are talking full concert level music!
Friday night was pretty loud too but finished at midnight.
Had an event with a 5am start the next day on next to zero sleep.
Not happy at all!!!
Should be a disclaimer on all booking pages!!
Oh, by the way, pigeons also nesting in the roof, but that was the least of the noise complaint.

Most of the food is good but overboard on the garnish and could use some more variety in the menu.
Edit: I went back to give a second chance and it disappointed. Vegetables weren't cooked and the pork was tough. It's a great hotel but the food is not good

The place is centrally located. The a/c is decent. I carried a mini heater which helped. The bathroom is renovated which gives the room a fresh feel.
The linens are atrocious. Dont think the duvet or pillow covers have been washed in a month. They had holes, hair, dirt patches. I requested a clean one but never received.

The room is small but the cupboards are good. The pub serves decent food and the deserts were fresh. The staff were friendly as well.

The motel shouldn't charge more than 150/180 per night for what they offer. Id you're going there for a night- it's manageable. The central location is handy to walk up-to cafes.

Recent overnight stay at the Bowral Hotel. Spacious and comfortable king room in the hotel. Beautifully renovated, very comfy bed.
Great drinks and evening meal in the bistro next to the open fire. Fantastic staff, in particular Paula who looked after us exceptionally well on check in. Great location, easy walk to Bradman Museum and shops and cafes. Would definitely stay here again.

Extremely disappointed with our stay. We stayed on a Saturday night our room was above the dance floor of the hotel which did not stop playing music until 2am (we were not told this was the case). Attempted to contact staff via phone and email did not receive a response extremely unhappy and would not recommend to anyone.

Stayed over the weekend, reviewing hotel and bistro.
I would give full 5 stars if I don't see cockroach in my room, it can comes from outside since room was pretty brand new and clean.
Stayed in room 16, location was closed to the stairs.
Love the hotel from location, bathroom, bed and ambiance.
Only thing i wish there is thermostat temperature control in the room because it was super cold outside and we would like to get a little warmer inside the room it self.
Food was great, reasonable price, and dinning area ambiance was great, wood fire burning in one corner to make it feel warm and comfortable.

Going to give 4 stars for the amazing staff and customer service..AND the very well appointed hotel rooms upstairs... ( thank you to the lovely bar attendant Gina and the very accommodating Rod ..manager? ) will definitely come back for a visit.

Stopped in for a bite to eat,bacon and cheese bread and chicken schnitzel with chips salad and gravy, always a good measure of quality and was not disappointed truly delicious and tap beer was truly cold as it should be will drop in next time we are in town for sure

The rooms behind the pub are nice and as advertised. If you get a room above the pub they are clean and newly renovated. However, the bathroom design in these rooms is extremely unsafe. The shower is dangerous as it requires climbing in and out of a tall slippery tub. If you have elderly guests (or anyone really) make sure you request a ground level room.

The food was great and very decent sizing. The staff was very friendly and was happy to assist in any changes to your meal that you'd like made. Great selection of food.

The rooms are very clean and tidy and quiet modern. The first night we had some difficulties with the aircon it was so hot, unfortunately it is temp controlled centrally. The shower is fabulous, the rooms come with a little fridge and the room we stayed in was slightly away from the pub which was great re noise. You can park straight out the front of your room which is very handy. Great location!

??Hotel Accomodation Room Review??
Good and well priced for the town as prices for accomodation can be pricey for older run down hotel/motels. The rooms are modern which make it's a hidden gem if you judge it from the outside. Bathroom and shower are the highlights of the room! You need to check in at the Bowral Hotel pub bar before getting the keys to your rooms. We will be back when we come back in March!

We order food first at 7:00pm 1/12/22 , at 13 people group , all others got food, but we Still waiting for the food been serve at 8:45 pm , obviously they forgot serve our food, then bring the food is cold, terrible service, I told the lady " I am going to sleep, " the responds is " ok" , no sorry or apologies , we are first time coming to this Bowral Hotel to have a dinner, very disappointed their service. No coming back for sure , very happy mood when we coming , now we felt very bad mood , upsetting all night , 100% destroy our night

Terrible night life. This place closed and stopped serving alcohol at 11.30pm.
This was actually ridiculous, if you want people to come and enjoy themselves, this is not the way to do it.

My husband and I had the best vegan, gf burger we've ever eaten!

Stayed here for 3 nights after having to reschedule after the big floods and storms.

Comfortable accommodation, albeit a little worn and rough in places. Did notice the absence of a working smoke detector though (empty spot for one, but missing).

They did charge me wrong, but upon raising it with them, they corrected it within the hour and the overcharge was back in my account.

For the money, good value if only needing a place to sleep or relax a little when visiting places or enjoying the Bowral food.

Did have lunch in the pub one day, unfortunately the food was a little average, steak overcooked, and atmosphere a bit lackluster.

Would stay and visit again however.

Spent Sunday afternoon here with good food, drinks and casual atmosphere that made for a great day. Service was a little slow but always with a smile. Stayed in the newly renovated rooms upstairs that were five star at very reasonable prices. Well done Bowral Hotel - keeping mini breaks affordable without skimping on comforts!

I have eaten there twice. Fairly good tucker. But a restaurant, it ain't. It's a pub, with that smell pubs have. I have been to worse. Three stars is top rating for pub dining in my eyes. So it's a yes from me Dicko.

I haven't booked a room though, but I've been here twice at the pub section and I was well looked after the staff the first time (prior to covid). Second time I came, it was very quiet and I enjoyed my time. Staff are friendly and I am very impressed that they have Carlton Zero, as I cannot drink alcohol due to medical reasons. I will come here as a regular once covid restrictions are eased off and back to normal.

Not bad to watch a game of footy, or for a late night, but the food and atmosphere is outdone by some other local pubs

Stayed here overnight on our way back through from The Snowys. Was a great spot close to everything and the pub did lovely meals and was very comfortable to have a drink and watch the footy. The room was great for the two of us and the bathroom was lovely! Looks like they have spent a bit of money on the rooms. Was great value for the money and we will definitely be back!

1 star to the unfriendly (young blonde) girl working at the bar on Monday 24th of May about 5:45pm.
She left the bar as soon as my partner and I tried to approach her to ask for the menus: no eye contact, no smile, no acknowledgement at all.
My partner came back a few minutes later and said to her "hi, how are you?". Her reply was, with zero smile and energy: "what would you like?".
Sad to see someone like her being the front of the business. A person with very close to no idea about customer service. To the manager, I highly recommend to train your staff. I know times are tough and finding staff members isn't an easy task, but training is vital, especially if you have an empty place at night.
We noticed the place was empty before we walked in and wondered why... It didn't take that long to find the answer.
We ended up spending our money somewhere else.

So much potential. Great location. Beautiful fireplaces. Unwelcoming staff.
We walked in for dinner and the girl behind the bar wouldn't even acknowledge us let alone say hello. So I assumed she was having a bad day so I smiled and asked "how are you"? No reply other than "what would you like". We were the only two people in the bar/restaurant. Now you know why. We left without ordering.

Very clean and very nice bathroom. Simple and affordable. Will stay again.

The room itself is nicely decorated and modern, bed is comfortable; but the rooms are not sound proof. Could hear the couple in the room next door and also a noise outside all night! The fridge didn't work, and the cleaning standards wasn't great, still had bits of rubbish and dirt in the bathroom.

The room is also pretty small so think it's overpriced really. But good location in the town. More like a motel not a hotel.

We stayed at the hotels accommodation whilst in town for a wedding. It was great for what we needed and we found the room was great! Bed was comfy as were the pillows. Everything was clean and tidy. Shower was great and good water pressure.
We really liked how the accommodation was next door to the Hotel and not above like so often is the case. We were back around 11pm and even though the hotel was still open it was really quiet in the room.
Car parking is directly in front of each room also which made it easier with luggage etc

Good food and a great vibe to just chill without any unnecessary distractions. When i lived in bowral this was the place that me and my best mate always went.The bartender used to know the drinks we were about to have.This place reminds me of those fun times.I would highly recommend.

Good value meals, cold beer & air conditioning; great for hot days

Had a lovely $15 lunch special. The snittty was large. The salad & dressing perfect & great crunchy chips. The service was excellent & didn't wait long for my meal. Will definitely eat here again.

Make sure you dont miss this place when youre coming through Bowralgreat food, great staff and clean. Loved it. Stayed overnight and the rooms were perfect.

Chloe was absolutely incredible. Catered to what we wanted, and was so friendly! Just here for a night, and went above and beyond for what we asked for! She made excellent drinks, and we were the only ones in the venue.
