Nice country pub, seem to have good social activities. Meals were basic but very nice. Had a chicken parmigiana, thick schnitzel (ham not included). Well cooked meat and chips, came out lovely and hot. Just nice amount of salad. Nice day so sat outside (with most of others that came in after we arrived). All well until smokers went in their designated area, sadly wind must have been blowing our way as we had to leave due to smoke, lucky we had finished eating. Yes we could have sat inside from the start, just think this was unfortunate for us. Worth a visit for a meal for sure, just be aware of smokers area outside.

Went as a group of 12 celebrating a birthday. It was Snitzel night so we ordered chicken and beef snitzels plus fish and chips and a pasta dish.
Very disappointed with the time it took to get our orders. 2 children in the group had filled up on bread so didn\'t eat their dinner. Chicken Snitzels were over cooked when they finally did come basically inedible chips were OK. BEEF snitzel also not great, edible but tough and not really tasty, mushroom gravy helped it.
Fish and Chips good sized serve and we finally thought we had a winner but one piece was good and the 2nd piece was totally different.
Not a very pleasant experience and all have said they would not return. Dissappointed😢

Booked a private room for a 70th birthday and pre date preparations were so easy with Emma\'s help.
On the night our hostess, Hannah, was so helpful, efficient and nothing was too much trouble, even organising a group photo at the end of the night. Meals were huge and delicious, highly recommend.

It\'s a lovely little place, friendly staff and nice dining room with natural light and a beautiful view.

A fair bit of the menu options are marked as N/A with either printing or a sticker over it, but honestly what we got was beautiful. Mixed grill was massive and I struggled, husband got the roast lamb with lemon & mint gravy, which was very different but absolutely beautiful.

Was speedy, but not fling it at you from the kitchen quick. All in all, well prepared food.

Loved the pub dog too! Cute little thing was playing fetch with us on the way out.

Our family had a get together on 14th December for 30 people, Hannah our bar person was great and friendly ( turns out some of us knew her and her family) the other wait staff were great too . The meals came out in good time , hot and tasty. I personally had porterhouse schnitzel ( cut with butter knife,so tender). Well done to the hotel and staff. Our group all said fantastic venue
