Attended the Beltana for a meal this evening. We haven't been there for quite a while, but wow, what a downgrade in the bistro....
Sat down with the menus and was told to order at the bar, no longer table service, which wasn't too bad.
Looked through the menu to discover that the whole style of meals had changed. The menu has gone from an array of options that would make your mouth water, to just a regular pub style menu, no specials were offered.
Finally decided on 2 entrees and 2 mains.
Went to the bar to order.
Ordered drinks while we were ordering our food and was given the wrong drink, asked for a replacement.
Waited over half an hour for the entrees, and when they did arrive, only 1 came out.
Waited a few minutes, and when the other entree didn't arrive, I went to the bar to ask if it was coming.
I was told that I hadn't ordered the other starter, which I very well had.
I then said that I would like the other entree.
After I had just paid for the missed entree, the staff came from the kitchen with our mains.
We hadn't even started the first entree that we had ordered and they were sending our mains already, let alone not getting the second entree that had been missed the first time.
After all of that, we decided to cancel all our food and get a refund.
We paid for the first entree which we ate before leaving.
We were extremely disappointed.
The couple who were sitting at the table beside us were also complaining to each other about the meals that they had received.
We would not return, and were highly disappointed in the downgrade in service and quality of the food
