Do not stay at the Bayview. Rooms are overpriced and the worst beds.
With only 1 other guest staying, I was put in a room above the compressor for the coolroom combined with a lumpy hard bed, I never slept a wink. Worst pub stay in 30+ years of staying in pubs.

Quality of meals has declined. This was our go-to before movies or theatre.
Nachos was at best Luke warm, corn chips burnt black. I took them off my plate and pointed it out to the waitress. She seemed puzzled. I wouldn't have served up this offering to anyone yet alone a paying customer. Three of us had this they scored a perfect 10 for burnt offerings on all our plates.
Minestrone soup was slopped onto plate below. Once again customer pointed it out and HAD to ask for a clean plate.

This is a rough pub, people fighting all night and smoking in the common spaces upstairs. Some of the staff are great and the rest are asleep. The rooms are old, the bathrooms are older, and the furniture is laughable. Value for money was poor. The pub fare was tasty and fast, but the tap beer was 1970's. Sorry guys, but hospitality requires effort.

Wonderful pub, cash friendly , staff are friendly & helpful, counter meals, plenty of TVs to watch sport, excellent beer garden, both ticketed & ebt betting facilities. Clean amenities.

Had a fun Sunday afternoon. Staff and locals were friendly. Drinks and food were great and priced well.

Very ordinary place to stay. The whole accommodation looks dirty. There is only 1 shower available for the whole floor. There's only 2 toilets available and 1 of them was leaking, so unable to be used

The staircase to get up to the accommodation level is dangerous if you are not 100% agile

It is way overpriced for the standard of accommodation

I'm surprised they made an effort to remove any empty beer glasses between machines lol

Great atmosphere in this refurbished historic Pub. Parking out front & beer garden at the rear. I can definitely recommend a visit here, I would certainly come back again.

What a great place to enjoy your holiday. The amenities are there to give you an extra experience to relax and have time out. The staff go out of their way to make you feel special.

Yellow stains on pillow, had to use towels over them, hair all throughout bed which meant sheet WERE NOT washed ! Health and safety right there....
the carpets weren't vacuums and the "wardrobe" had extremely bad wood rot!
The toilet door closest to my room didn't even lock nor close properly so you have to close it shut while your on the loo
at 3Am all you can is a random waking you up with the sound of their vomit hit the water !
Seriously feral &Way too over priced

they spent more time and effort on the common room near the balcony than any of the rooms!
Also the staff were nice ! especially the older fella that was working in the morning he was quite helpful and lovely !
Although when we arrived the Friday night a different staff member was working and I needed help, and the reply was so rude , until he realised what he done, he then directed me to my room properly ... not great customer service on any parts

If you can stay anywhere else in town, do that!
To keep it simple; it's way too expensive, rooms are cramped, amenities badly kept & unsecure. Be prepared to also pay a $20 key deposit fee upon check-in & deal with staff that aren't happy to be there.

Didn't stay but had lunch in the bar and was absolutely phenomenal food! Great service too!! Keep up the good work guys!!!

Garlic bread was really good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bbq bacon and cheese schnitzel wasnt good at all. Overcooked and dry.

Very uncomfortable night.
If I had my car I would have left and slept in it.
Room was noisy. Constant fridge or some sort of compressor noise all night.
I live in the inner city I am used to noise.
No glasses or cups available for guests. Even for water.
Needed to check in late due to flights. They did call, but I made it just in time.
I was 15 min early of the informed time.
Housekeeping knocking on the door numerous time way before checkout time.
$20 key deposit reflects on what they think of their guests.
Last resort, or lift your game.

I stay at the Bayview Hotel most times I come to Bateman Bay for work which is a couple times a month. Most recently last Monday to Friday. I get a single room bed which bed is clean and comfy with fresh sheets on every occassion. Shower and toilet just across hall way no big deal. I must say best hot shower I have had
Always hot and great water pressure. Nice old rooms too, love the slide up windows and ornate old sealings.
I had two meals in the pub whilst I stayed there chicken snitty, chips, salad and gravy $15 yum and very good serving. If you like take away plenty only a stones throw away. Pizza, Chinese, Maccas, kfc, restaurants all 5 minute walk away great location central.
Some nights patrons play the duke box in the beer garden untill around 9.30pm but i like listening to all those songs. Some people may think it loud but it is a pub and thats what goes on in pub hotels, I like it love the tunes.
The bar in the Bayview is very good and plenty tv's sports on and TAB if thats what you like.
I prefer to have a couple quiet ones as I did last Thursday in the up stairs lounge room all to myself (see pic) as I watched my beloved Tigers get robbed in the elimination final against Brisbane. Lynches goal should have stood unbelievable. Ayways lounge room and balcony all to myself as I watched the footy having a few beers. Thank you Bayview Hotel for making me feel home away from home ill be back.

Suggest not visiting unless you're a local.
We stopped in for a few beers and a few games of pool.

Waited at the bar while the rude, grumpy bar staff served the locals that came after us first.

The locals made us feel really uncomfortable in the beer garden. We were told by one of them we couldn't play pool because they were having a pool competition. We sat and finished our beers next to the table with no one playing it and then left.

If you're from out of town, give your money to an establishment that values its customers and deserves it.

Good food, has out door beer garden and sports bar. I wanted a coffee as they had that too but wasn't working. Seems to cater well to locals.

Was my go-to pub in Batemans Bay until today. Grumpy old man at the bar and lowlife locals making snide comments about my eating alone - totally ruined my impression of this otherwise classic pub/hotel. I'll find a different venue when in town for work.

Not clean and found the staff rude.
Would not recommend this place.

Great food great beer garden great prices for lunch and dinner plate ?? size's are huge amount of food and Karri okie and duke box and Yes dance floor plus a hotel rooms upstairs that are cheap and nicely close too town with a main street veranda view ??? ...... All together great staff members and Friendly faces

Average watering hole with a fair few unsavory characters out the back in the outdoor pool area. Beer is cold with sports on here so cant complain too much.

NOT WORTH EVEN ONE STAR!

I rang up, reserved a table (outside), my family and I have shown up to the Bayview as we walked in there was no recognition from staff. As we tried to order drinks the older bar staff bloke had stopped my mother from speaking, yelled at her about her mask, as she put her mask on and tried to order a drink then was yelled at because he could not hear her through her mask! Which was is it, mask on or not?! As we tried to order again he then answered a phone call and ignored us, we tried to order drinks again and he was still disinterested and did not listen to any requests. A beer was placed in front of us then had to explain 4-5 times about which drink I requested! As we had had gone to pay for our order another customer asked where his beer was and we had found out we had his beer and was a complete mistake on behalf of the bar staff, the young lady had said we were rude and need to learn manners and not stand so close to the other patrons! We were there first and he ordered from behind us!! Our family thought that was a complete joke! Which it was! I had then asked where my reservation would be and was told i don't know just find a table and sit down! Wow can the old guy get nastier or not?!
We were then told the pub would close at 9pm! On New Year's Eve! Seriously?!. And we're also told when we asked why they were closing was because the chick behind the bar was tired and wanted to go to bed! We got our food at 8:45pm...had to eat like we were pigs and had to leave! We made our way up to the club and guess who turns up! The tired chick from the pub with a wod of 50s in her hand and sat right at the poker machines! Seems real tired to me!!

Poor effort and disgusting behaviour from bar staff! We come every year for New Years and Christmas and will never be back!!

Other customers from that had left had also explained that the bar staff were completely disinterested and rude and did not even want to work for the night!

Needs new staff with some recognition of what there job is!

Not even a 1 star hotel. Backpackers have better facilities.

Accommodation:
No kettle, microwave, or hot drinking water facilities. Unclean carpets. Doesn't have an attached toilet/shower in the "hotel's" rooms.

No tv/ kitchen/cutlery/fridge/microwave/ coffee or tea access.

Definitely not worth the money spent. No customer satisfaction thought process.

WARNING*** IN This hotel there are THIEVES!!
MY dad left behind something, the cleaner found it and then then magically it disappeared after they found it. Someone has pocketed it!

You guys better find it and call is back and post it...

Friendly and quick service. Have a good vegan meal that was a really good price too!

Common problem of this hotel:
1. Staff are very rude, some of the old staffs don't even reply you.
2. You may book room & pay for it, while check in they might cancel your room & sale it to someone who pay more. They might say its a technical problem or booking agency's mistake.
3. If you get room they will charge $20 for key deposit. They will tell you to leave key at door, but later they will never refund your money.
4. Room is very dirty. Common toilets.

As a bar Its not bad.

This was my third luch visit this trip, the food was excellent, music in the background was great and the beer was cold. They have a beer garden and a play area for children too. Plenty of parking in the street behind with a walk through to the pub.

Really basic rooms on all accounts. Tiny room with tiny sink and a fan. Stayed in much better motels in the area with at least a private bathroom and for the same money, definitely not good value. Bit of a pain to get in and out when the bar is closed, so in the morning and nights.
The restaurant is fine, large indoor and outdoor area and usual pub food with large portions. Service was always friendly.

Absolutely fantastic pub. The best on the south coast by a long way

Good food but was slightly overpriced and you have to pay extra for the sauce!Overall, the stay was good, food and beer was nice with the pub right downstairs!However, the caretaker could be a bit nice. I tried to get hold of a hair dryer from them, was told they would try to find one but checked out with hair dripping wet.

Best burgers! Awesome garlic bread! Nice staff and really well priced.

Loved the trivia. Had a good time catching up with our cousin. Food was great to.

Fantasies service. Great staff, red hair girl needs pay rise. Bar tenders were friendly. Food was not expensive and tasty. Had a fish and chips craving, meal hit the spot. Keep up the great work.
