I am thrilled to write this review based on my incredible experience with Mat, one of the most friendly and kind employees I have ever encountered. Mat's exceptional dedication and willingness to go above and beyond left a lasting impression on me.

As a young boys visiting the Central Coast from Sydney, we encountered a booking mishap that left us without a place to stay for the night. It was already late in the evening, and most hotels were closed. However, Mat, an absolute legend, came to our rescue.

With his remarkable organizational skills, Mat swiftly resolved our predicament and provided us with a room for the night. His warm and supportive demeanor truly touched our hearts. Mat's selflessness and determination ensured that we didn't have to spend the night on the streets.

I cannot express enough gratitude to Mat for his exceptional assistance. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mat. Your unwavering commitment to customer service and genuine care for others make you truly deserving of the best in the world. Keep shining, buddy!

Stayed at your venue last night and had a great time. Service was amazing by all staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Simone behind the was bar super friendly and a great worker. A+++ we will be back.

Good pub great sports bar getting reservation done at the moment very good management,big parking lot I like this pub

Stayed one night at the hotel, not impressed. Check in was conducted at the drive through bottle shop, then I had to walk through a dark car park too an even darker block of rooms. No lights so had to use my phone to find the room and let myself in. The room was very old with chipped laminate surfaces and a wired smell

Family friendly. Kids eat free on Sundays. Good live music. Outdoor seating is great in summer. Note that most of the bar and bistro will be closed from 1 May 2023 for an 8 month renovation.

Always good food, great service, and great value for money. Nice play area for kids and love the sports channel TV'S everywhere.

The menu is what you expect from a bistro/club menu, which is what we like when you go out to these places, all the fam favs, but the presentation and quality of the food is above average, and all the meals were beautifully cooked. Great desert selection to, pleasant service, great prices, the kids had a ball in the large play area they have within the outdoor family dining area, excellent place to bring the family for a quality casual dinner out. Id come again in a heartbeat.

We booked a 50th birthday lunch for my sister and from the time of booking until we finished our function the staff were all amazing and the food was fantastic. Great communication which appreciated.

Food was good, staff was nice, kids playground in the back, lots of outdoor and under cover seating. Great for parties, large parking lot.

The food is brilliant. The weekend vibes are to die for. The TAB room is quality and the coffee machine is on PAR with newtowns coffee.... a good thing I must mention.

think the food is over priced $18 for 6 small wingz. And the Outdoor area could be so much more to lacks an atmosphere.

Massive place. Good food, although limited options. No real dance area- all carpet. But staff accommodated as best they could to the influx of dancers.

Beautiful place to have a few beers. Don't buy a free pour because you will receive under a nip.
Needs new kitchen hands and head chef badly! Never in my life had a pasta so soggy, plain when it specifically no notes "chilli" and instead tastes like watered down tomato sauce. Regardless on volume of customers, never should you serve food with such little care or flavour.

Overall a nice place to stay, friendly staff in both the pub and the bottle shop were you check into the accommodation. The rooms are very spacious with tall ceilings, my only issue was the air-con it turned on but when ever changing the temp on the remote it didn't seem to change the temp at all so it was a chilly couple of nights for me.

Always been a good pub , that's still actually a pub. Good beer, food and kids play area if you have to take kids. Also good sports bar . Haven't been to any entertainment recently so can't comment on that . Worth calling into for a drink or ten.

We got there around 5.30 on a Saturday and most of the tables were reserved, but we were able to find a table outside, the atmosphere was a buzz
The kids space was full of fun sounds, the service and food was good staff very helpful.

There food is good, but they are inconsistent with portion size. At different times during the week they are generous and others pretty stingy.

We stayed at the Bateau Bay Hotel as we were attending my husbands Rugby Reunion in the area, people traveling from far and wide some not having seen each in 40 years.
A big shout out to one of the staff Cathy, who after our first night in the morning asked me if there was anything I needed as we were staying 2 nights.
I said I could not find a hairdryer and she politely explained the rooms were not equipped with one.
After returning a couple of hours later from breakfast, there was a brand new hairdryer in the bathroom for me.
As it was such a cold wet weekend and we were in and out of the rain I was very grateful.

Nice big pub with a great area for the kids to play while your enjoying a refreshment. Had a snack and the food seemed quite good

Bateau Pub is an easy relaxed vibe. Food is great for a pub. I had the mushroom risotto and it was delicious!

Donna in the sports bar is amazing!!! I had dietary requirements and she said "let me see what I can do". Complementary snacks were brought around and she organised something vegetarian for me. 10min later she delivered the me personal snacks. This never happens and her hospitality was sensational. A true hospitality professional which are few and far between these days! (I work in this industry)

The beds in our room were very comfortable and the linen very clean and crisp. There was some noise but we expected that being next to a pub. You will need to bring Shampoo and hair dryer. Be prepared that hotel patrons may park in your space, but there is plenty of parking at rear

It's a pub. It's a clean and tidy pub with mediocre furnishings and decor. There's a few slappers in the outside [---] room and the beverages are cold and refreshing. The staff are friendly and approachable and the location isn't too bad. It's what you expect from a decent pub.

Noisy! Food was good, servings were generous. Shoestring chips a bit ordinary. Good range of beers.

Nice tidy little place. Very COVID safe. Plenty of gaming & entertainment areas. Haven't tried their menu yet tho!

Lovely, friendly staff but so noisy in the dining room. We had to yell to hear each other. Luckily we could move outside where it was a little quieter. Nothing at all for vegans to eat except steamed veggies or chips so that was disappointing but the food was very good according to my friends.

Great atmosphere, ( can smell the ciggies as you walk in ) not a smoker but it takes me back. Drinks very well priced too. Good night out.

Nice laid back feel and safe for the kids to have a play. The seating is spaced out so you can still see the play ground from every angle.The food was amazing. I havent had a decent Ceasar salad in ages. The chilli beef salad was insanely delicious.The staff are so friendly.If i could give 6 stars, I would. We will be sure to make another trip to the coast again. Even our girls didnt want to leave. They gave a big thumbs up
