Non fussy burger place in a pub setting. The food came fast and was simple. The jalapeno and lime fried chicken wings lacked a bit of salt, with the lime flavour coming through strong. But the habanero one made up for it, sporting a strong spicy sauce which will make you see red.
The BL chicken burger in a bowl was alright, probably get it in a burger instead. Nothing too outstanding.
The loaded fries were quite yum, slight spice to it and plenty of pulled pork on top of shoe string fries for your enjoyment.

After reading the many glowing reviews of Bar Luca, I was very excited to try it for myself. To cut to the chase, it more than exceeded any expectation I had for the place. Safe to say that the burger I had, the Mr T-ruffle, was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It would take a lot to beat it! The beef patty was supremely tasty, juicy and packed full of flavour, the bacon was crispy and delicious. The mushrooms were absolutely divine. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu on subsequent visits.
Very reasonably priced for the amazing quality and taste. Tip, come early for lunch, as others have noted it does get very busy. Once you have ordered however, the food is pretty quick to come out.
I will definitely be back.

Great burgers!! A bit too noisy but good vibes in general. Try to avoid peak hours between 12.30 and 1.30pm with all the business men having their lunch breaks. It gets busy very fast but it gets empty fast too. The onion rings and the maple/bacon are to die for!

Food came quickly and burgers were yum. The mac and cheese was very bland however, so make sure you save some of the sauce from the corn ribs to give it some flavour.
Cauliflower bites were waaaay too sweet. Burger wise, can't best the blame Canada, truffle burger or the jalapeno fried chicken.

Girl. Those fried cauliflower bites were out of this world good. I was expecting them to be spicier, but the maple syrup was the star of the show. Service was quick and attentive. The burgers were lovely and the aioli that came with the chips was finger licking good. I will say... a touch loud, but loved the the chef's were bopping along to the songs as they cooked. Great vibe.

Delicious burger, served with a blink of an eye (10-15 min max). Weekly specials make you want to come back each weekend. Orders possible via website. Make sure to book a table in advance for making the best out of your visit here.

There's a reason this place has been around so long and is still kicking on. Quick service great burger and somthing for everyone including vegetarians. Love the Mr-T burger personal. Great lunch spot for a casual team lunch or just when your feeling a burger

I had recently visited this shop and tried their special burgers.The staff was friendly and welcoming..I found the avocado chicken chipotle a bit dry and I expected a juicier bite.
The ambience was comfortable and the prices was reasonable for the portion size.Overall it's a good place to grab their special burger especially tequila and lime chicken burger?

Bar Luca remains the premium establishment for great burgers in Sydney. With their weekly specials and the classic Blame Canada burger, they've really perfected the art of making good food. Always generous with the chips and poutine too!

The burgers were good! We ordered the Blame Canada and limited menu item Blame Fireball which were pretty delicious, id rate them 7/10 and 8/10 respectively. The poutine was sadly disappointing, the cheese curds just tasted and felt like plastic. The staff forgot about one of our orders and were rather blasé about it.

We came for the Fireball collaboration and it didn't disappoint. That burger was too die for! So full and juicy and tasty and worth every penny! I loved the milkshake too, the donut on top was like an extra treat haha OH AND the pork ribletes had me licking my fingers!!!

Finally got a chance to visit this famous bar and burger joint that serves POUTINE! portions and quality were great, and at this price point, I would not hesitate to recommend. definitely a top burger spot in Sydney.

Lovely burgers, friendly staff and good tap beers.
We ordered the poutine(nice), onion rings(nice and crispy) and the Blame Canada burger(very good)
Even though the place is a little bit on the pricey side I had a very good experience. Highly recommended for after work drinks and burgers!

One of the most iconic burger joints in Sydney CBD, and for a reason. The burgers are just so delicious! They have classics but also specials each week. I usually go for Mr Truffle, can't go wrong with that! Onion rings are great as well. The good thing is that you can also enjoy great beers with your food here. Gets really busy though so you may need to queue for a bit.

This place is very well staffed. Easy ordering and food is served fast. Like the lively music too.
The burgers, shakes, onion rings, chicken wings, etc really met all expectations. Highly recommended.

Finally tried the legendary Bar Luca burgers and praise the Lord for one of the juiciest patty, crispiest fries and cheapest wings I had in my life, no wonder it's called the burger institution in Sydney!

Blame Canada is the UNDISPUTED BEST BURGER IN SYDNEY. Time and time again I think I'll get sick of having this incredible burger. Time and time again I'm proven wrong. Great staff, great vibes, great food.
If you're just looking to enjoy a burger, highly recommend to go on a weekday mid afternoon. Dinner can often be booked out, especially on weekends.

I usually order BL Burgers through food apps, so was pretty happy with the menu. The staff were super friendly and attentive.
In comparison, I had visited Mary's at Customs House a few weeks earlier and did not have a great experience, with staff disinterested in customers wanting to be seated let alone served. The staff at Bar Luca showed that this is not the expected standard of a burger bar. These guys should get raises!

Nice place. Good food. Not quite sure though why they can't make drinking water accessible to customers. Have to wait it queue again just to ask for water because the bar was busy. Other than that this is a nice place.
Updating my review: downgrade from 4 stars to 3 stars. Had lunch there today and they're now only filling up the container half full for the sauce. Not only the sauce is a bit pricy but seems like they are cutting cost on it. It used to be a decent amount before but the sauce not worth paying for anymore. Got the same feedback regarding this from the other guys who I had lunch with also. Not paying for the sauce anymore even if it tastes good ??'?

All my friends were satisfied with the burgers. The Blame Canada is the most famous here. Personally I tried the mushroom burger which was also delicious.
One thing to take in mind is that if you are having birthday celebration here and you are bringing your cake, do remember to bring along the candles and a lighter.

The food is hit or miss - I used to love their popcorn chicken but they've replaced it with greasy chicken tenders where the coating isn't crispy and falls off. It's also spicy, which it doesn't mention on the menu. The burgers are good but are sometimes too saucy so it all goes to mush halfway through eating it. The mac and cheese is really good, though.
