Great pub character. Great locals and staff. Great beer. Well, sensibly and quality modernised 'pub'.

Love the food here. Traditional home made pub grub. The landlord has a very limited vocabulary however and swears every other word. It's enough to put you off your food. The other staff are delightful thankfully.

Was pleasantly surprised with dinner serving sizes. Added bonus of happy hour when we arrived. Wood fires helped keep the venue warm against the cold weather.

Ordered a scotch fillet last Tuesday night. I should have just eaten my work boot.
Left the steak unfinished on the plate.
The lady who also was working the kitchen asked how my meal was when clearing the table.
I politely replied I wasn't real happy with the steak as it was tough and sinewy. A deafening silence as she just walked away.
Care factor "0". Doesn't bode well for anything else on the menu.

There was live music on the Friday night we stayed. No chance of sleeping until the band stops around 11.30 PM. Mens bathroom had no cold water.

Stopped in for a quick drink and bite. Priced well and staff were excellent and so accommodating. Will definitely be back again.

Only stopped for lunch. Food was ok reasonable pub fare. Price is reasonable. Service friendly and quick.

After struggling to find accommodation in other towns Dungog came to the rescue.
Reasonable priced, very comfortable beds and nice and clean. Clearly they have been renovating different areas of the hotel. Some work was going on the outside balcony as we stayed here.
No issues or noise from downstairs.
Had some food here also crumbed cutlets.
Nice and juicy with a side of veg.

Stayed here on our way up to Queensland. Lovely little spot with heaps of character, very reasonably priced also. The staff were very welcoming.
We had dinner here also, the schnitty was incredible and a must!
Heaps of other little bars and cafes just a short walk away in the Dungog high street

We go to the Bank Hotel frequently but over the last few months the food hasn't been very good. I think the chef has changed and food has been less than good. The band last Friday was terrible, most people going outside. Hope it improves

Great spot to stay, the rooms are clean and tidy. I wish they kept a bit more character when they renovated. Hopefully they will do so when the eventually do the bathrooms. Really good food downstairs too!

Dungog is a great place to visit, self walk, the bank hotel, great service was a good place to relax in. No meals at the time we visited.

We had a good meal here. Good service and a good outdoor dining area.

Called ahead and was told no need to make a reservation for lunch and lunch would be available until 2:30pm. Arrived an hour before closing time and was told they had too many orders and basically did not want our business. Lunch for 4. I would not recommend to any one visiting the town- totally appalling treatment. Had to select 1 star or could not leave a review. Zero star rating.

Nice place to stop on the way to Barrington or north coast. Really enjoyable staff and location with vivid culture and welcoming locals.

The food however is less than desirable and the place is slightly rundown. It does need a bit of a refresher and definitely someone that knows how to cook a steak medium! Though saying that the chips was great!

Excellent old style pub and accommodation with a good restaurant to dine at. The service team in pub are friendly and really helpful. 10/10 from me for the Bank Hotel Dungog

Clean and tidy rooms, love that they are dog friendly, delicious meals and even better the Bundy is on tap.

Very comfortable bed and quiet. Very old hotel with out dated furnishings and a cockroach came out of the wash basin in the room, not too pleasant. Friendly staff. Only place available last minute on holiday, so can't complain of the cost.

The meals were massive. They were very reasonably priced and tasted good. That's the only reason they have 4 stars. The pub itself was dingy and when I walked in some dodge as men said some very inappropriate comments.

Great pub, plenty of space and a lively crowd on a Saturday night. Staff are fabulous and let me store my broken motorcycle there for a few days until it could be repaired. We stayed overnight and the beds were comfortable and the new airconditioning was warm. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great pub fare with big portions. We had the cheesy garlic bread, arancini, lamb shanks and steak. All the food was great.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere with great staff, cold beer and awese food! Recommend!

BTW strict QR code sign in for covid,plenty of hand sanitiser about. And an awesome fire inside the pub gave it that homely atmosphere

The best pub in the scrub!! The staff are more than accommodating, friendly and love to have a chat. It's like a crab pot haha once you're in ya can't get out!
And the food is bloody awesome!
Jukebox, pool table, beer garden and always clean loos.

Fantastic hospitality, great food! The Diane sauce is to die for.

A good village hotel with a strong local history. March 3rd 2021 would be a good time to visit. May explain why so much renovation is going on.

Beds comfortable. For a pub surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. One shower was great, the other male shower not so great. Hosts were nice. There was small bugs in our room but not a big issue.

Love the old world pubs and this one is certainly one of them. Great beers on tap. Lunch was superb. Great menu and all meals are huge. Plenty of parking.

Clean, comfortable pub accomodation. Shared facilities, complementary tea & coffee & cereal. Old pub, plenty of character. Meals were great & owner very friendly. Will come & stay again on my next bike ride. No undercover parking for bikes, but owner allowed me a secure slot at rear of pub.
