What a beautiful place ! accomodation was perfect, great location and so were the meals. We had a beautiful romantic getaway - thank you !!

Arrived between lunch and dinner when the small plates menu was on offer. The sun was shining away and the the outdoor seating super comfortable. Every seat was taken in the sports bar! The barramundi croquets were just so delicious. I would order them over and over again. The sourdough garlic bread was so cute and provides some good old fashioned garlicky garlic bread. Pub style with a fairly steep entry path up to the tree tops. Enjoyed our visit

We stayed one night as we were there for the Coastal Surge Film Festival. Check in and Check out was streamlined and fuss free, the bistro has great food, rooms were super clean and beautifully located. Our stay was great and we will be coming back next time we go to Avoca Beach.

It's a great place for a musician to play, and the food was great. Very cosy with a fireplace in the dining area and keep Jamie Lindsay Music ? coming up to play, he loves the venue ??????????'????"????'???????????????'?????

Had dinner here last night and we will definitely be dinning here more frequently. The food was amazing, cocktails were delicious, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We sat by the fire and enjoyed a couple beverages and soaked up the warm cozy feeling. Can't wait to come back and try more meals from the menu. Big thumbs up for the team at Avoca beach hotel??'??

I am a local on the coast & had heard the bistro has improved
recently. I was pleasantly surprised on Sunday evening, when I had the mussel dish, served with sourdough. It was a generous serve, delicious & the staff were friendly and well informed about wine varieties.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay.
Room was very clean with balcony looking onto treetops and sunshine coming in.
Great value and minutes from bowls club. Perfect for us.
Useful having restaurant attached.

5 families booked 6 villas over the Easter long weekend. We all loved the beautiful green and natural scenery as soon as you wake up in the morning or walk outside the villa. We loved how the property had 2 swimming pools and a cafe and pub in the property that served delicious food. Loved how even though family members of mine did not book around the same area, staff member (Ahmed) went out of his way to change our accommodation around for free just so that we could all be together. We all had an amazing experience and long weekend because of being able to be near each other, and wouldn't of had the same long weekend without Ahmed going above and beyond. Thank you for Ahmed for your wonderful service and to Avoca Beach Hotel for the amazing facilities and amenities.

Just had the most beautiful wedding . The bride and groom wanted a wedding of less formality and more party vibe and the event team certainly came to the party.
Will 100 guests and many staying at the hotel everything we asked for was accommodated with ease and precision.
Originally the service was to be in the grounds but when the weather turned the change to the treetops cafe was executed well.
I'd like to congratulate each and everyone of the staff from catering, events, to cleaning and maintenance for there enormous effort and always with a smile on their faces.
The hotel and rooms are gradually being more modernised so when this is complete the place will be the final fifth star.

Full marks, here's why: the room with a cosy balcony was spotless, high ceilings and your surrounded lush green plants and trees. The cafe was lovely, very relaxed setting and fantastic service. I didn't take photos of our room, because the online pics are pretty accurate.

My family and I stayed here over the weekend in a villa and were very impressed. The villas are tucked in amongst beautiful big eucalypts and other natives, completely private, meandering footpaths leading to different locations, and with water dragons and bush turkeys roaming about. Absolutely wonderful! The villa itself was HUGE and had everything we needed. It was clean, quiet, relaxing and comfortable; we could park our car immediately outside the door. The swimming pool was a delight to relax and swim, tucked in amongst trees and greenery. service from front desk was exceptionally good & easy; no waiting, no dramas, no tension; just straight forward and easy. The two food places - Saltwater for lunch and dinner was a bit pricey but the ambience was lovely and the food was really good. Treetops Cafe for breakfast was really lovely, well-priced, fresh quality ingredients and well made options - ambience was really relaxing, tucked away in amongst tropical foliage (I wish they were open all day until afternoon for coffees, cakes, and cheese platters etc). Overall we were incredibly impressed with the value for money - the accommodation was excellent value and very affordable for families. We'll definitely be coming back and this may just be our new family regular place to visit!
The only negative is there was no internet; we just relied on our phone data instead.

Great setting, lovely quiet rooms for sleeping, lots of wildlife to admire. The room was clean and well appointed for our 2 night stay. Lovely friendly staff. Not far from the main attractions and you can retreat from the hustle and bustle and unwind.
Food was tops too!
We will stop again.

Amazing and friendly customer service. Great on-site facilities - very relaxing and quiet. Would definitely come back. Food was amazing and catered for a lot of dietary requirements. 10/10 would recommend.

Food is always nice and staff are always pleasant. I won't be supporting the Rugby Club raffles again though. Two tables of us, $30 worth of meat raffle tickets and didn't hear a word about the draw! Finally enquired to be told it was all over.

Love the place, love the quiet and bush surroundings, rooms are spacious, wish they would make some rooms pet friendly.
Great for families with kids

Villa was pretty basic but clean and functional. Note there isnt much sound privacy between the two bedrooms as its kind of loft style with no roof on each bedroom. Good for a family. Does the job for a quick stay in Avoca.

Area is expensive - other than that, this is a solid 3 star venue so you get what they advertise.

Great place for family holiday. Needs an upgrade of queen mattresses a day improved rooms lighting. Otherwise very comfortable if somewhat basic.

If I could give this a 0 star I would. We paid near $2000 to stay here. We booked on booking.com and said we could pay on arrival but they rang us early saying we need to pay before. After we paid we arrived a week later to a villa that was covered in mold. It was dirty and dark. And to top it off one 2 minute shower used all the hot water. The people at reception where uncooperative and unhelpful and honestly rude. This was not a pleasant stay

Stayed here over 10 times I'd guess, last night here tonight and I don't want to leave. Ate dinner at the pub 3 nights in a row and the food is quality, your surrounded by nature.. trees, wildlife, clean fresh air I love this place. Service is absolute quality inside the pub and also accomodation wise. Everything others are calling negatives I actually like, I love that the rooms are older, they have character, and you can cook in them! You can't get that anymore. This place is from a time gone by which we can still enjoy today but it's extremely well maintained. You either love it or you don't, if you don't I feel sorry for you. Avoca Beach Hotel I love you, God willing I'll be back many more times.

Breakfast was nice, but the accommodation was only ok-ish!.

Musty wet smell in all the rooms. No amount of airing could get rid of it. *sigh*.
When we got home, even my clothes had a dank smell. This place was probable quite nice when built, but a serious lack of general maintenance is letting this place down badly.

Went on a spur of the moment and had a most delightful time. The simple fish and chips were cooked to perfection whilst the salad was fresh and crisp. The staff were friendly and the Water Dragon guests were great entertainment. Please sample this taste of the Avoca Beach area of Gosford.

Thank you Amit for our lovely stay there! We stayed in one of the villas which was great for our family. Amit was friendly and helpful! We love being around trees and birds, which we got. Lovely to wake up to in the morning. We will come bk for another stay.

We stayed here for a week. The rooms are well priced, well appointed.
There is a fair bit of road noise which regrettably goes with the package...if you stay there then that's what you get.
Happy to recommend - it's our third visit and we'll be back.
