Great location close to all shops; friendly staff; rooms very small, bathroom extremely small. Struggled to open my suitcase, and it was a trip hazard getting up in the middle of the night, going to the bathroom.

Stayed one night while travelling. Rooms dated but clean and adequate for our needs. The standout was the restaurant. Food was delicious and the restaurant manager was fantastic. This person handled all orders spoke with patrons and was a delite to chat to. Give this lady a raise she deserves it

Just grabbed a quick beer, but the staff were fantastic, beer cold and reasonably priced.

didn't stay there I'm a local played the pokies very quiet only ever seen 3 people or less there staff seem friendly but can't tell as they tidy the pokie room but don't offer drinks or nibblys they don't even ask if you need anything but I like it because it's quiet so no complaints from me and I've never seen the restaurant open so I can't say if it operates at all sorry

The motel was very clean, rooms basic, but good for the cost. Staff very helpful and friendly, location is very convenient to town

From booking, to check in to check out! a seamless journey. The apartment was excellent, fully functional kitchen with plenty of kitchen utilities. Oven, microwave good sized fridge. Bathroom equipped with a beautiful spa bath and separate shower. free wifi, The 2nd bedroom is a bonus. Balcony access for smokers, not for us but brought in a lovely breeze when the sun shone in. Huge additional bonuses are - so close to shops snd restaurants, power points for days ??'?and 1 minute walk to the train station.
We thank the Astor Inn team for a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend their accomodation to any travellors passing through or for coming to a special event in Wagga Wagga.

I stayed at the Astor Inn for a week in May whilst visiting my godson who is a soldier based at Kapooka. The Astor is very convenient to the railway station (I came by train from Melbourne). The reception and cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly and my room was quite comfortable and very clean. It was sometimes a bit noisy with trucks travelling along the Edwardes St (Sturt Highway) but that was outweighed by proximity to the railway station and Bayliss Street. The restaurant was very pleasant and the food was very good.

The restaurant has really good food, especially the steaks and the salad is not all leaf and the chips are nice and crunchy. The girl who served us was great.

As a motel / hotel this place did its job quite well. I'd booked a cosy room and it was definitely that. I'd probably go with the term compact more than cosy though ???". Cosy means different things to different people so can be misleading, and maybe promising more than is delivered? Still, the room did its job. It was clean too, as was the bathroom. I had a good night's sleep here so I reckon it was a comfortable stay. There are no lifts to the rooms so if your given a room on the highest floor (that was me) you've got a good hike with your luggage.
I ate at the inn too and had an enjoyable meal. The fish dish I had from the specials' board was tasty, a good size and nicely presented. Reasonably priced too.
All the staff I met were fun and very helpful.

Very well located if you're arriving late in the evening or early morning on the XPT. There is a 24h concierge and they texted me the day before my arrival to check my arrival time (which was around 1am) and instructions on how to get in at that hour. Really warm and generous service at the front desk. The only thing holding this property back is the proximity of the single rooms to one another with little/no sound insulation. Cleanliness is very high, the decor is dated and you will hear quite literally everything happening in the room next to you - believe me! In any case, I recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The motel room was fine, clean and tidy and well equiped. The bathroom was huge and functional.

The entry and hallway are not in a good state and really need some work done. There is no aircon in the hallways either so on the stinking hot day that we arrived we found no refuge there from the heat, something we desperately needed when we arrived. It took some time for the aircon in the room to cool things down.

Overall the value for money was pretty low, and there are just better options close by that are better value for money

This is a nice central place to stay in Wagga, a two minute walk from the railway station, and at the bottom of the main street with its attractions. I didn't venture too far into town as most of the things I needed were in the attached hotel.

I'm not sure what room the people writing reviews were in, but I don't think we were in the same. Ours was musty and dated. The shower is a trip hazard. Not at all like the photos.
But...the receptionist was lovely.

After having an emergency trip to Wagga Wagga, I found the facilities at the Astor Inn perfect. All the staff were lovely and accommodating. The room was small, but clean and perfect for what I needed. The resturant food was delicious and the servings huge. When I got a fright at 230am the staff member on duty came right to my room and again was lovely. Although the rooms aren't the best, the service and and the way the staff go above far out weigh the short comings of the room. Highly recommended.

Had dinner in the bistro the food was nice tasty,good size the sticky date pudding and the lemon cheesecake were to die for,best I've ever had they were on the special board but I hope they become a permanent part of the menu.
Our waiter Amy was super nice happy and attentive and efficient to our table with drinks, ordering and clearing the table promptly would highly recommend.

Great spot for a stopover while passing through as in my case. Great meals available and walking distance to local street front shops and Vic Hotel.

What a great place to stay! We stayed here overnight after travelling for 2 weeks. Absolutely comfiest bed ensuring a great night's sleep. Rain shower was amazing and the expresso coffee machine just topped it off.. What a great place to stay as you are so close to shops, pubs and cafes

Stayed for 5 nights for work, great stay, room was cleaned every day and very tidy. Spoke to one of the cleaning ladies who was lovely and left me an extra cookie packet for my tea that night. Restaurant was great for a feed and to watch the footy with a beer. Would recommend.

We paid $134 for a queen bed, what we got was 2 single beds pushed together with a queen size sheet holding them together, if I had realized b4 11pm at night I would of demanded a new room, so if your paying for a queen size bed make sure they don't put you in room 12, because they are ripping you off & you will have a very uncomfortable sleep

The rooms were nice and clean and it's super close to the station and local shops.
I mostly came here to say how utterly lovely all of the staff were, especially the woman at the front desk who was above and beyond kind to my family, when there was an issue unrelated to our stay. Thank you.

Pub and accommodation were great. Food was not so good. Would stay here but eat in the town.

Love the place going back again when ever I get a chance

The staff were very warm, friendly. and helpful when some issues arose with the room. They immediately arranged for another room to be made available and were very apologetic for the inconvenience. Although the rooms are small in size they are satisfactory.

Very nice people rooms small if you like that thing.

Our room was tiny and very claustrophobic. Bathroom also very small. Bed and hot water good. Currently no breakfast available due to COVID-19.

No beer on tap working, very small bar area.

Food & service was great.

A budget friendly place very close to the hospital and shopping

Extremely good value all round. Room was clean and offering as many amenities as some four Star Hotels. The bed was comfortable plus.Service was the best I have encountered in many years of travelling.Pru on Reception was exceptionally caring and unlike so many in here role she had a real and genuine passion for the job. It seems nothing was too much for her. I recommend this Inn without qualification to anybody.

Nice small room. However dead fly in the shower and medical tape on a clean towel.
