Good value for the meal in $18. Portions were good. Recommended!

We really like this pub and would love to make it our 'local' go to place BUT the [---] room and the stench of cigarette smoke seeping out are quite repulsive. Other than that, the food, staff and atmosphere are great. Get rid of the [---] room and this place would get many more customers.

I really enjoy the food, atmosphere and service after they revamped the kitchen. Reasonable prices and excellent service. I'm local and eat here a couple of times per week. My mates enjoy the place too.

They got VIP pokies and a large sports bar too.

Really nice food at a reasonable price, the special $18 steak was perfectly cooked.

However the service was pretty bad. The bartender with a ponytail kept staring at us and looked so fed up and disinterested, with a constant frown and upset demeanour. He also was quick to clear our plates so he could have the leftovers of my partners schnitzel which he shoved in a takeaway container behind the bar.

Way to go! ??'?? Revamp your kitchen and give vegetarian people only ONE option! They used to offer a bigger and better range of food prior to this.
Note for the meat-eaters: the steak is definitely NOT worth $32

Not sure how this pub promotes "RSA" when their staff are drinking at the neighbouring pub Crocodile Farm on their break. Photo taken there 20/7/23 around 10:50pm. Normally wouldn't complain but the arrogant and passive aggressive attitude of the staff, I have to wonder how drunk they are on shift. The derogatory attitude though makes the venue seem like a toxic place, there are better places to drink in Ashfield. Tried the bistro in hopes it would be good, can't say it was awful but nothing special.

Ashfield Hotel is your typical Aussie Suburban Pub,Clean Friendly Atmosphere and welcoming,Helped along by Manager Lee,tending the Bar and being a most Hospitable and Friendly Host,always attentive and catering for your thirsty needs and a chat,and on occasions the ever attentive Security Dylan always feel safe when Dylan's on watch.
I'm not a friend of theirs just wandered in one night and was greeted like a long time regular,very Rare in this Day and Age.
Give it a try for Drinks or Food you won't be Disapointed.

Friendly, welcoming, open pub, a little more spruced up than your typical suburban pub, but still with a relaxed vibe. Ample smoking areas with seating and heating, great good (slightly more expensive than your average pub feed, but a delicious, chef level menu) and cheap drinks and pool tables.
Open til 4 and sometimes 6am.... Great place

The staff are super friendly. Good selection of drinks. But the atmosphere is off if you're not heavily into gambling.

Have been here a few times. There are pool tables which is a big bonus
Got the pork schnitzel which was $30+ and came with a garden and a thin slice of pork. Absolute rip off. Other than that, it's been a good experience.

Order a cesar salad with best chicken. Sounded nice and healthy.
Received salad smothered in dressing to cover the strips of bacon fat off-cuts. Also found a leg bone in the breast chicken.
I had eaten there before and the food was much better.
Never again.

The food at the Ashfield pub is soooooo great. We don't have a huge amount of great quality good value restaurants in this area so it is wonderful to find this gem. This was my 3rd visit food is consistently good with fresh quality produce. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I feel it should be packed on a Sunday lunch with this quality.

Haven't been in a year maybe more.
Dining area is hugely improved. I use to get a decent steak fries and salad for 21$. Now It cost $36 for a smaller steak and a serve of heavily salted fries. I realise prices have increased but gees.. ordinary! Still hungry. Has to be better options around. Very disappointing guys! Big downhill from yesteryear

Heard some buzz around about Pub Cucina and it's the first time in 11 yrs in Ashfield that I stepped foot in an Ashfield pub. Had the pasta with sausage and I have to say, it was really delicious and better than I expected. As good as my Italian mum would make it. Friend had the mortadella ball panini and said it was good too. Less one star as there wasn't much atmosphere but hey, it was a Tuesday night. Chef and staff were lovely too.

A nice pub with decent pub food and cocktails. It also has a small smoking area with a few tables in the back. Very soon they will be closing for renovations.

The menu looked great. It took roughly an hour for the food to come out in a mostly empty restaurant. Such a long wait for so much disappointment. The pulled pork burger was dry and actually tasted like tuna. It wasn't pulled pork it was more like dehydrated and passed through the food processor pork. The scotch fillet wasn't a scotch fillet cut and tasted like it had been partially boiled, it came with a salad that was so sad it would never make any friends.
The best part of the meal were the chips, unfortunately the rest was inedible and we had to leave hungry.

Great Tuesday night meals. Off street parking as it's on a main highway. Clean and quiet. It's a typical local pub.

Nice place for quick drinks with friends. Food is good as well.

One of the first pubs i went when i turned 18. Good beer, atmosphere and pool table.

Any place that pours Guinness properly and patiently is 5 stars for me!

I have not been for awhile as I was told the Chef had left but we were all so happy when went for lunch that he was still there his food is alway top quality and the vegetarian spring roll are to dye for they are so fresh and for us vegos really good .The others had steaks and the melted in there mouths they really enjoed it. Will be back with our friend very soon glad he is back. Please try it you will not be sorry for a grerat local pub.

Have dined in several times, every time very happy with food quality and price. Unfortunately, the food gets wrecked if you order takeaway. Recommend dining in only. Chicken schnitzel dishes, fish and chips, wedges, and steaks are made well.

They have a good bistro with a varied menu and reasonable prices.

If you're a pub food person this place is pretty hard to pass up. They do some massive steaks for great prices and are pretty good too

Paid $26 for a for a 600gm scotch fillet steak. Worst decision ever. Asked for medium rare and was disappointed by the quality the meat and the quality of the cooking. Will turn me off steak for a while which is a shame because I love it. Staff seemed nice though.

Was stood out front waiting to be served by a staff member for half an hour. It went from patience to passive aggression. Turns out - the front was not even open. I did hear one of the staffers say let him stand there. I was sure it could not have possibly been about me - but it obviously was. Who employs these people?

Really good meal. Something on the menu for everyone, including kids, vegetarians and vegans. I had a lovely chickpea, kale, roast pumpkin and halloumi salad. Menu is very reasonably priced and the meal size was excellent. Good Covid protocols, fast service and pleasant, modern surroundings.

A huge menu is usually a bad sign but everyone in my group ordered something different - pizza, pasta, salad, burger, shnitzel - and they were all great! The drinks were reasonably priced. Atmosphere was a little boring but it didn't bother us, it was a weeknight and we were there to catch up, so it was the perfect place for us.
