So good to see a country pub with more choice than just schnity and fish.
I had the roast pumpkin salad with chicken, and my wife had the cauliflower steak.
We were both very pleased with our food and the speed of the kitchen.

Great food and excellent service. Enjoyed my lunch today with decent portions of the items which I had ordered.
American chicken pizza has got excellent topping and sauce and grilled salmon was so flavourful.
Scotch fillet was ok bcoz it was burnt a little bit. Overall my experience at Amaroo was 5 star.

Food were great, service were great.
Prices are high as same like other pub prices.
We couldn't see inside the airplane at the time we visited.
A work was going on inside, but luckily they have many seats outdoors.
Clean toilets, eftpos available.
Got a greeting from a very friendly local, had a nice conversation with this kind person. Felt so welcomed.

Beautiful Moree, Small and laid back with Friendly People. Loved the Tavern as everyone was so friendly and staffs were very helpful and curious. Good Carpark space, events venue, Bottle Shop and Big screen to watch your favourite footie game while enjoying Schooner.

Pizza is average at best, one of the rare times I almost recommend going to domino's.. no meatlover option?, pretty sad to be honest.. wouldn't come back. Enjoy my 26 cents you robbed me from. I would not tip it to the person who took my order, rude as heck and didn't want to work there. Don't blame her honestly.

Went there for dinner had the steak cooked to my liking staff seem to b all backpckers some where diffulct to understand

Had a weekend escape, staying at the Gwydir thermal pools. Amaroo tavern just up the road & convenient. The food was delicious with an open kitchen. It was very busy & all the staff did it with ease. Nice to dine somewhere where people are happy to serve you.
The only downfall would be the grubby floor covering that needs an update!?

Great place to grab a beer and a meal. The classic pub food was great....but you really gotta work on the Thai chicken noodle salad. Twas very bland and average.

A warm place with good atmosphere and friendly staff. Watch out for the aeroplane out the front. A good selection of dishes available on the menu and well prepared and presented meals here. Well worth a visit.

The thickest crumbed lamb cutlets and beer battered barramundi with chips and salad, would definitely be back for the lamb cutlets.

I mostly came for their incredible C47 close outside the beer garden that looks like they scooped it up off the runway after it had just landed.

Nice meals, friendly staff, great play area for kids and easy walk from Gwydir caravan Park.

If you hate large food portions, friendly service, reasonable prices, a friendly atmosphere, unexpectedly well controlled music volume for holding a conversation with friends, and lastly: a plane you can climb into - you should avoid this place.

Came during a busy winter's day lunch service after 6 hours on the road and we had a really lovely lunch of steak and pizza. We got to adventure around the yard to check out the DC3 and the staff were happy to point us in the right directions for things to see around the town.

We are here to look at the plane, have drinks & dessert.

Great Steak! 400g rump incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. the pizza special on Sat was great value. Service was amazing. Busy Saturday night and staff accommodated for our 2 small children so well, colouring and lollies!

Food was good, the steak was hammered very thin but that's OK because I like 'well done'.
Not very Covid safe, a check in code was at the entrance but no checking for vaccinations and some staff wore their masks under their noses! Which I thought was probably not good considering Moree was experiencing lots of positive cases while I was there.

It seemed like a nice local pub in Moree. It was not very buisy on a Tuesday afternoon. Nice outdoor areas, plenty of seating inside and out. The choice of beer on tap is not huge and mostly very common. There is a large selection of meals in the menu. Ordered wedges which was a massive serving with loads of sour cream sweet chilli sauce bits of bacon and cheese. Did not need a dinner after that. Need to explore more serious dining next time.

Good Ambiance place with lots of delicious foods but please do something for these flies. Its literally everywhere ?? and even inside the dining area.

We were visiting Moree and someone at the Maria motel recommended, Amaroo Tavern it was easy to find with a old DC3 plane in the front, we inspected it with my nephew and he loved it. The food at Amaroo was delicious and the servings for huge couldn't finish all mine and my brother and my nephew also enjoyed their steak as they said they were delicious, I would recommend to anyone if you're looking for a great place to have steak Amaroo is the place.

We are spending a few nights in town at hot pools. Motel room has kitchenette, but the range of tasty affordable meals and good specials at Amaroo Tavern means I doubt we will cook any lunches or dinners!
This is a very well run pub. Kitchen are bar service is prompt and friendly. So far we have sampled a Barra burger, steak sandwich and wood fired pizza and beer special. All tasty and excellent value.

Thoroughly recommend this pub for a drink and a bite to eat!

Nice ambiance. The staff are helpful and friendly. The beer is nice and cold. Apart from a couple of times, and I've visited Amaroo Tavern more than 100 times the meals have been excellent. Meal prices are reasonable and daily specials can save you a few dollars. We'll worth a visit.

Great meals, I had the $16 200g steak and it was beautiful and cooked just right. The salad and chis were great also with a Diane sauce. The kids and and drank free on the Sunday night which was a real bonus. Both the kids and I loved going through the old plane.All facilities were clean and tidy.
