First and only time here. I thought I'd play it safe and get a Chicken Parma for dinner. Well who could stuff up a chicken parma I thought. As it happens, these people could and did. If it wasn't for the sauce on top then it would have been totally inedible. Chicken felt like a recycled tyre. Won't go into the rest. One should go to the Bowls Club. Were told that they were much better and cheaper.

After roughing it on the cape it was a pleasant stay. Food is good and reasonable price. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Generally a good place for food and people. Nice place to catch-up for dinner over some drinks. The specials on Wednesday and Thursday are quite good. Take advantage of that. The food portion has significantly gone down compared to what is charged. But it is okay. Staff are generally nice and patient.

Can't speak highly enough of the service and staff at this place.
They go above and beyond. The food was great and the prices for both food and drinks were reasonable. Lachie the manager performs his role to a very high standard and we were most impressed.

Renovation needed to upgrade the rooms. However nice and quiet.

Came here for 24 hr driving break after delivery of 2 containers of furniture to Weipa from Gosford NSW beautiful place to have a break

First time here, nice pub. The food was good with cold beer. Line dancing on Thursday was a bounes.

Bree at reception for check in was very professional, accommodating and great customer service.

Food at the pub side was great had 2 different meals and everyone was very happy with what they ordered. Even with being busy the food was great. Bar service was excellent.

Would definitely recommend if staying in Weipa.

Food was awesome.. drinks are cold and the entertainment was good value. Ideal place to hang out for the day with the family.

Checked in not, expecting much. But it was worst than a small motel from KL that I had visited from 10 years ago. Floor was sticky, sheets and pillowcases were stained and so were the pillows - all old and soiled. I am sorry but I would have rather camp out in the open and sleep in clean sleeping bags.

Kettle was all dirty and grimy as well. Did not even dare to use it.

Being such a remote part of Australia, the Albatross Bay hotel is a great place. Rooms are tidy, nothing fancy but clean. The staff are fantastic, good place for meals with a beautiful view. Great food and reasonably priced.

Had tea in the bistro, after caravan staff recommended it,very disappointed.$30 for a piece of barra no bigger than child's palm well over cooked, a bit of salad straight out of wollies , small serve of chips. As for the view, it was stunning. However, it seems the smokers get to enjoy that as the smoking deck is where the best view is. Was very disappointed

Came here a few times during our trip to the Cape, pretty nice place admittingly, nice view of the beach and sunset, they served free pizza during our stay there, only 'dislike' i have about the place is when one of our mates spilt the tray full of drinks since the back doors seemed hard to open when holding said tray, tried to re-request another round of drinks for free due to the small mistake, and nope, they wanted us to pay, we left after that.

Very good rooms, large comlex with in home restaurant, bars and freindly staff.

Fantastic food, we all really enjoyed our lunch. The location overlooking the water was fantastic.

We had the best restaurant manager named Daniel very pleasant very friendly meal was awesome I highly recommend you come for dinner while in Weipa.

Cheap and nasty. I dread staying here. My booking for Albatross is made through work. My own preference would be to camp out. I cannot comment on the food as I have not been to the restaurant.

The food was unreal, good atmosphere and a great view.
The staff were very friendly, we enjoyed our meal and drinks even though the kookaburras stole some chips.
10/10 recommend.

I've been going to the Alby for a while now while working up here and the staff have always been great. Even during the really busy nights when things can get a bit stretched they do their best to take good care of everyone and make sure you have had a good night. The food is really good and I've got to recommend the wings, dead set the best wings I've had hands down. Saucy and moist with just the right amount of crunch ??'?
The view out the back is pretty good too at sunset...

I stayed here recently, and really enjoyed my time here. The covered outdoor seating area is a great place to spend the afternoon. You can see the water, while having a beer. You can order food from the bar also, and take it outside. The deck near the restaurant is also a nice place to spend the afternoon. There are daily tours of the area that run from the resort carpark also. I would stay here again.

We went there during the trivia night, it was really busy but still manage to have a to notch prawn linguini for dinner. My husband ordered their steak specials and it was great. Really enjoy the vibe in their sports bar.

After waiting 1.5 hours for our meal I checked to see if they had missed our meal, was assured our meal was still coming, half an hour later kitchen was closed & still no meals, was told too bad sorry we missed your order by management, everything is now closed and we are staying in accommodation with no cooking facilities or food to cook. Management & staffs could not care less attitude to the mistake was more disappointing than anything.

Got the tradies lunch for $10. Was one of the best beef curry's I've had in a long time. Was well worth the price. Everyone was super friendly and did their best to make our stay welcoming. Definitely recommend!!
Only complaint is there was no GF option at breakfast apart from fruit

Been to this establishment twice now, both times well below the standard of what a Waymark owned hotel serves anywhere else in Qld

The food was great and the venue was very large and nice. However it would be good to have at least 1 Australian owned beer. All foreign owned Aussie beer.

The restaurant is located in the most beautiful spot on a big wooden deck overlooking the sunset over the ocean. The food is a bit pricey but totally worth it and so good that we have a standing booking to start off our weekend right every week! You HAVE to try the rack of lamb. Absolutely A+. Plus there's a playground to keep the kids busy and they hand out free colouring in packs. So family friendly.

Service very slow. Waited 45m and still no sign of my entree. Not good enough.
Note - Food was slow this night but the quality was still good. My Eye Fillet was magnificent equal to any other good steak I've had in really good steak restaurants around North Queensland. Product is good just watch the service factor guys.

All my work colleagues recommended I'd go to the Albatross Bay Resort for my day off work for lunch. Meals seem expensive however they have a fresh but large meals which was definantly value for money. They have great seating areas, staff are super welcoming and friendly and the ambiance is great too with the locals. Highly recommended and will be back again soon

Albatross accommodation was really good. But in the Gaming Room was out of control by when drunkards start yelling. People have no respect for others that were there. Indigenous peoples when drunk start asking others for money for more drinks. When they are already intoxicated they should be told to go home with out any warning. I love staying at Albatross I've been staying in Alby into past years and have been enjoying my stays. It's the Gaming Room that is out of control. Food is great I love eating in Alby restaurant so good.

We were staying there and were asked to leave the lounge area near reception because that bar/restuarant was closed. nnThe continental breakfast was average with only two ordinary looking cereals (there was pastries, fruit amd toast too though).

Just changed ownership (NOV) so it's going through some teething problems throughout the venue. Needs a menu change too but no doubt the new chefs will implement these changes.

Bar is nice with beautiful sunsets, restaurant also has nice views and is well presented however meals are over priced for the quality of meals that come out of the kitchen. Rooms are easily 3 star and are clean. Internet access is a bit average but enough to send emails. Don't bother streaming Netflix though.

Always a great place for a feed. Good food, great location, plenty of parking and seating. Their nightly specials are a good deal. Go out, sit near the bay and enjoy a sunset, a beer, and a steak.
